View Full Version : Team of five for cloth, plate and mail?

I currently have a team of five Druids that I use to farm herbs and ore with. However, I’d like to get into transmog hunting with the other armor types.

My question is which team of five for the other armor types is going to be strongest/most sustainable?

For cloth I was thinking Warlocks due to their pets and healing abilities. I’m torn between Hunters and Shamans but lean towards Shamans due to their self heals. Plate, I have no idea on as all are melee except Paladin tanks with Avenger Shield, Judgement and Consecrate abilities.

Please give me some guidance.

Just farming for transmog. This will be for legacy loot raid/instances specifically.

The best way to farm transmog in old legacy dungeons is to have them all in their own instance and either try to sync it up or do it the messy way which I feel is faster and just auto run each character and keep swapping screens while blasting everything.
The reason for this, you get the same loot in each dungeon if you have 1 or 5. So breaking it into 5 separate instances is 5x the legacy loot. The problem you run into now is you can't share the gear with each other.

When I ran 5x druids through a dungeon all on their own though, it was quite enjoyable because you can get close to if not fully completing sets in just 1 run because your essentially doing the dungeons 5 weeks in a row.

You could go through the original method, but your severely limiting the potential overall sellable loot. End result, you got options.

If it¨s for legacy loot raid/instances I would go for a speed twink - you are not going to get more gear if you run them with 1 or 5.

Thank you.

I just want to clarify.. If take 5 Druids into Heart of Fear and kill a boss (I’m going to use hypothetical numbers of loot here just to illustrate my question) do I get 5 pieces or gear total? Or does each character get 5 pieces of loot?

In your scenario, you would get 5 pieces of gear total.
Which is 0 benefit to multiboxing it Except if you have different armor types, you could gain those transmog items.

If you skip to the 5 min. to 20 min. range of this video, you'll see what it looks like multiboxing an entire dungeon together in their own instance.

The benefit here (while it can be more complicated) is your getting a massive amount of loot (while its not shared) and for things such as mounts and similar, you increase your chance by quite a bit.

thank you. So, this helps but I’ve run into an issue before.

if anyone remembers the “calligraphy” world quest for TS (you just have to either run in a circle, square or triangle formation). When I start that quest on my main and slaves and turn broadcasting on and either keyboard or mouse turn. My slaves wind up going too far, or not following my main in the exact spot they take.

I Foresee this being a huge issue while trying to run dungeons 5 times in a row.

Is there a way to make it so your slaves move EXACTLY as your main does?

Sadly no. What I've done and it's kind of hectic for a dungeon (this is using 5).
Point the character in the right direction, hit auto run (and spam dps along the way if you want).
Swap to char 2, do the same and repeat.
Then jump back to the first character and further correct.
Down the boss, then do the whole process again.

It's a pretty active situation but you knock out doing essentially an entire dungeon run 5x, in about 1.5-2x as long as it would take you running solo.
