Essence Farming

Is there a solid way to farm essences or is it better to run instances for gold and buy the essences?

I suspect the latter. In 5 levels of BRD I've only gotten 1 Essence of Fire.

I would take a minor gold hit if there are instances that drop certain ones easier though.
