Hello friends,

I am attempting to set up a 2 or 3 box on my mac. When i get better hardware i will do more. I have the wow accounts. I tried to download Keyclone but it is in .exe which as far as i know is a pc type thing. My iMac can't open it. I went to the main site but didn't see a separate mac version. What am i missing? Help please.

thanks

I know i have to pay for the software... but as i understand it i have to download, install and then be prompted to pay. I can't get that far. I can download... but i can't run or install it... my Mac doesn't recognize it.

You want clonekeys which is downloadable from http://code.google.com/p/clonekeys/ for free. Its missing several features that windows users get with KeyClone but works pretty good. In the wiki on the previous link there are instructions for modifying it with xcode (comes with your imac) so it doesn't send certain keys, etc.

Hope this helps get you started. Hopefully the mac community picks up a bit in the multi-boxing arena.

Thanks a ton. That does help a lot. But like most development... it also opens up some more questions. I am not very tech savvy. This may be my initiation. What are some of the features that the mac version doesn't have that the pc version does. You mentioned not sending keys? I assume they have a "do not pass" feature? Any heads up on what they will not have?

Anyone can give me tips on initial configurations for the mac version? All the guides here are in pc. Help i am the odd toon out!

thanks

Wow. I guess it is the do not pass keys that are the issue especially for movement. Seems so essential to the multi-boxing i am not sure how you would work without it. Thanks for the info from the wiki on a workaround. Any other tips i should be aware of?

Buy a mac tower and run a windows machine from it? Hehe. Too much for me now.

I think they were saying you'd have to use one of the mac's programs to edit CloneKeys to not send the keys you don't want it to send.

i currently run 3 accounts on my Macbook Pro and clone keys works great, just unbind the keys you dont use in the other accounts, its easy enough.

Mac OS doesn't actually run any .exe files. Mac did put out a program called Bootcamp though that will run Windows on your mac (you'll need your own version of Windows too), while still keeping the Mac OS in the background. It used to be free but now you have to buy it, I believe it comes with Leopard. So if you were really wanting to get Keyclones to run on your Mac, you would need to put out some cash.
