OK, im getting keyclone today, i have brand new laptop and a extra desktop screen, +3 wow accounts.
What type of set up should i do?
was thinking
warrior, rogue, shammy?
or
warrior, warlock, shammy?

or rogue, warlock, shammy?

Open to suggestions as i said "mez teh noob" lol, never even tried mutiboxing, besides logging in a minute ago to see if my laptop could handle 3 wow accounts at the same time. :D

I found it was easier as I began multi-boxing to stick with the same class. Setting up your macros and getting accustomed to multiple characters is hard enough when they all have the same spells. Also, melee are much more difficult to control due to line of sight issues. Having more than 1 melee is a challenge. So along those lines, i'd recommend 3x range casters or 1xhealer and 2xranged caster to begin with.

Of course, there are people who just go straight for 5 boxing using 5 different classes. So don't feel you have to take the easier route. I would still recommend not using more than 1 melee class though.

Best way to start off I think (still new myself) is with 3 of the same class and those 3 classes casters... Melee is pretty hard to multibox with unless its your main. Starting of with the 3 same class casters allows you to learn the basics, once you have that you can try different class mixes. Ex: 3 Mage will do so much burst damage that you wont need a tank or healer. If you do have to tank, agro will keep jumping to the one who crits

This is my main macro for my casters
Macro's for New Multiboxers - A Quick Start Reference ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=1219')

Main
/castsequence [harm,nodead] reset=target spell1, spell2, spell3
Clones
/castsequence [harm,nodead] reset=target spell1, spell2, spell3
/stopmacro [harm,nodead]
/assist party1
/castsequence [harm,nodead] reset=target spell1, spell2, spell3

i dont really want to do the same class, because when i ding 70,
i have 4 70's(3 that just dinged) Then i think, 3 are the same class, wtf was the point of that?
I'd rather be like wow i have 4 70's now =)
then go multibox av :D :D :D :D :D

Well in that cast try 3 different casters. Ex: warlock, druid, mage The key to making different casting classes work is by building your macros to be timed right with spells. Such as a priest holy fire is 3sec cast right? While Starfire from a Druid is about the same I think... Use those for opening spells then spam smite and wrath :P

what do you think about a
warrior(main,), warlock/ priest(shadow/affliction, all he'd really be doing is tagging with dots), shammy(healz)

which would be better warlock or priest?

Totally understandable. Given that, I would still say your best options would be:

3xranged dps
1xmelee (main) 2x ranged dps
1xmelee (main) 1xranged dps, 1xhealer

for the ranged dps I wouldn't use a hunter unless you use the hunter as your main. Destro lock and mage are actually pretty easy to get macros working together. For the healer option, you could actually use a priest or shammy as a combo dps/healer. If you are going to use a melee as a tank for instances, I would recommend pally due to AOE tanking. I suppose you could go with a druid + 2 ranged dps as well for flexibility. Use the druid as a tank, dps, or healer depending on your feelings as you level.

EDIT: Meh, I'm way too slow at work.

i'd agree with most here.

as you increase the number of different classes, you increase the complexity

if you throw melee into that.. it gets even worse

i'd recommend gettign 3 of the same ranged /caster types.. and just get them to 20. this will get your brain use to the mindset of multiboxing without worrying about the problem of multiple keyboard types. then you'll start getting crazy with your macros... and by the time you are done, you would be better able to handle multiple classes

here's a group composition thought:
tank/heal/dps ... warrior,priest,3xmage

or you could try warlocks... where the voids can double for tanks
4xlocsk,1xpriest

loads of combinations... have fun and don't be afraid to reroll :D
