View Full Version : Dual Boxing class for Pally

Hi guys.
I wanna level Pally on separate account to have boosting-machine for my twinks and also to just have a pally in general.

And I realised that I wanna try Dual Boxing. After watching number of videos about Duo Leveling I see 3 classes that suits pally the best. But those vids were not about Dual Boxing but Duo Leveling which kinda different, i have selected 2 of them below :)

So the question is - which combo is better?
1) Pally + Warrior
I think that for my playstyle and for easiness in dual-boxing Warrior + Pally is the best comp. Cuz they both are slow till lvl 40, both hit hard in melee, also after 30+ lvl warrior gonna do some nice aoe grinding and act like killing machine having healer on his back and so on. But the cons is ... i dont really wanna play a warrior that much. Yeah it feels nice to hit hard while u have ur pocket healer etc... But not so much excitement for me

2) Pally + Druid
When I finally decided to have pally on separate acc, I was choosing between these 2 classes - pal and drood. So this combo looks attractive to me cuz I will level both of my favorite classes at the same time... They both hybrid and very strong... but..The cons are: druid is damn fast SOLO leveler with almost no downtime and high movement speed after lvl 20+, and unlike warrior he is gonna loose all his pros in that... Also i dont think that drood gonna kill mobs faster than warrior with strong 2h and bers stance, AoE grinding gonna be weaker and slower so is the whole leveling process....

So guys pls help me decide. Thanks.

p.s. I have main on this server so gold is not the big problem

I'm doing a priest with a paladin and it works really well. The priest can heal through just about anything and the pally is pretty well unkillable if the priest goes down (bubble and run away to res the priest afterwards).

I'm also trying a paladin and warrior and it's just incredibly fast and powerful. And it's very easy to macro the warrior. But it has a lot less survivability when a few patrols wander into while questing. And if the pally goes down there is no one to res.

When it comes to druids, I find they're a major pain to macro and I gave up on mine before level 20. They don't have great synchronicity either.

Better can be relative to your goals and preferences.

Emperically Warrior+Paladin sealer/judger/healer is likely better DPS. Warriors suck to level by themselves and Paladins really help speed them up. If you are leveling them up as a duo (not in dungeons) and just doing quests and grinding mobs/hyperspawns then you could maybe spec the Paladin for some DPS though Paladin DPS is relatively anemic.

That being said if you really want to level a druid more than a warrior then you could go feral cat and kill as fast as you can with the Paladin helping as much as possible and tossing heals as needed. Yes it may be slower than the Druid alone (till at least 40) but it will certainly be faster than a Paladin alone.

thank you guys. Your ideas are great. I'm now thinking of duo leveling warrior and pally, cuz i believe I will be able to level a drood fast enough in solo if i will want to.
The another question I had atm - well i wanted to have a pally on the separate account from my main warlock. But I have a feeling that mb i will drop dual boxing after leveling. So I will have to pay for 1 more account just to have an access to my paladin :(

what can u say/recommend? ThanksNot sure what to say as ultimately that is up to you.

Even though I am mainly 5boxing right now I am OK with keeping a 6th account active with a Mage on it for porting my entire team but that is me..

If you think you are likely going down to 1 account and want to still have access to your Paladin then you should put the Paladin on that account.
