So after starting with my trio of shamans a few days ago on a pvp server....I finally got them to 40ish. So I hit up Tanaris. Apparently, I am one of the only (if not only) multiboxers on Black Dragonflight server. So word went out that hey there is this guy there with a (I am apparently known as the triplet squad) 3 shamans all looking alike. One day there were tons and I mean TONS of horde there (not for CoT) just to kill me.

Has anyone else ever run into this? There is no escape from it either, they find me there and its usually in packs of 5-15 people. (No joke)

I'd start a 2nd team so you can swap when things get too hot in the area where you are questing.

Hiya,

I have a couple of teams on Mal 'Ganis which is a fairly high population server. Chorizo's idea of a second team is a good way to go, or you could try moving to another zone similar in level. Hinterlands is close to Tanaris' level for MOBs. It doesn't happen very often, but If I am getting seriously camped, I'll head for an instance and farm shards for awhile.

I've been lucky and haven't had a lot of problems with groups trying to farm my crews. May be the Allies on Mal Ganis are just nicer than those on other servers <cough> ;)

I'm hopefully gonna start up on Mal ganis for some PVP multiboxing and i can't wait just wondering if my comp. will be able to take it first

Dark Iron = Penny arcade vs PvPOnline server...it's quite literally a warzone, especially if you're wearing one of the corresponding comic's Guild tags :p

Get used to it. Try and play non-peak hours to do general quests. Peak hours I suggest you run instances. If you get ganked more than once by the same guy - just go somewhere else.

Although - at level 60 my 4 shaman where killing level 70's who tried to gank me.

It's going to happen... people will gank you because...

A. You are a BIG target
B. They think you're a farmer or something
C. They think you are bots
D. They want a bigger e-peen by killing multiple lowbies at once
E. PVP == Gank... PVP != Fair Fight
F. All of the above

You can either...

A. Make a KOS list and just gank them everytime you see them
B. Go after all of their lowbies in their guilds with your 70
C. Red == Dead (keep rezzing and go after one toon over and over again... even if they get bored (because they out-level you) and about to leave you alone, go after them... eventually, they'll just want to leave you alone... but this takes about 30 mins to an hour or so...)
D. Peak hours, run instances
E. Level outside non-peak hours
F. When getting ganked twice in a row by the same people (or group), do something else for 10 mins and come back to it later
G. Try to get the hell out of that area (or zone) and do something else somewhere else.
H. Be on Mag server, horde side and call out of help from the calvary.
I. 2nd Set of toons at a lower/higher level to do something else

i'm leveling my three locks on akama, horde side, PvP. there are some other boxers on the server on both alliance and horde side so there's a bit of awareness there.

if you are getting camped there is always the old " spirit rez ,hearth and go somewhere else" ..... there are zones in each level bracket that most people just don't level in for some reason. the ability to grind on mobs that are higher than you gives you more options for a change of setting when needed. i don't mind grinding in the uglier zones when needed heh heh

as warlocks, or if you have a warlock, there's always the option of summoning some friends of your main...keep some good, bloodthirsty rogues and druids close by and you should be fine :D

my locks are only in the 20's now but i look forward to mass summoning of people's mains in STV lol

I've got a paladin and x4 shamans on Deathwing server, only had to deal with bad 70s camping my corpse in STV for 20 minute once. Ever since, ive been KoSing pretty much all allies.. now that im 61 and that I can kill 70s. I'm having one hell of a time ;)

edit: the ganking isnt as bad as it seems! come play on pvp servers :D

Horde hate boxers on Frostmourne because of a certain priest +4mages, but lower lvl teams are escorted by said person so they are safe :P

I made a KOS list. Now, if I see them anywhere, they are 1 (er..5?) shotted. Unfortunately, since I usually open with trinketed/em chain lightning, any hapless Alliance standing near them usually catches it too :p

You ganked me while leveling, KOS list.
You /spit on me, KOS list. (added a 64 warrior last night)
If I'm drunk and about to log, and you just happen to be standing there, no list but KOS.

So far Burning Legion US has been an awesome server to Multibox on. The MB support is actually quite good here, I never get needlessly ganked by high level alliance, and 99% of horde I see /cheer or tell me how cool it is. I've been playing on BL US since I started playing WoW years ago so I guess I'm just lucky that the community supports multiboxers. I hardly even get BG hate so the battlegroup must also be nice.

I've played on a PVE server since release, my only fauré into PVP has been up to level 30~. Over the last couple of months I have been very tempted to start a team on a PVP server. If anyone has any suggestions on which server (preferably low population) I'd be happy to start an alliance team. And to keep it fresh I'd probably try a different class other than shaman, maybe Warlock's or Mages -- of course they will be a priest thrown in for good measure.

I've been practicing on my trial accounts, but when I start it'll be on the server Illidan. Probably the most populated server of them all, I think only Blackrock & Mal'Ganis compare. I may choose another server do to the fact of waiting in line just to log into the server. Come Xpac I don't want to wait just to level my lowbies while others are in northrend.

I leveled from 1-60 doing all quests and encountered a total of 3 Allies during my entire team...

I got ganked once in Tanaris by 2 lvl 70s, and the other ally was an equal level guy who was questing in WPL and I left alone (since he helped fear some lvl 63 elite mob I was killing)

Guess Sporeggar is an easy PvP realm to level on ;)

Just entered Outlands now, will see how it goes there :)

I'm 4 boxing on Stormscale.

Allies enjoy seeing them run around, I only had one derrogatory comment along the lines of 'multiboxing loser' and i responded by telling him that I would be willing to discuss it with him, but that since I would be levelled out of the zone before he gained another single level, I didn't have time

I got ganked by Horde the first time running the road in Duskwood from the GY to town. A pally and hunter both rode past me, stopped, turned and came back. They dismounted, clapped, then killed all 4 toons. Of course, on Stormscale in Darkshire we have 3 or 4 Horde known by name to practically LIVE in Duskwood and gank. Even if they get chased out, killed and camped for hours, they come back so I wasn't surprised there. In 2 other zones so far, Horde have just left me alone when similar level and kinda stopped and stared is higher while still not bothering me.

I'm on a very highly populated pvp server. Back in the day it was one of the few servers that horde outnumbered alliance on (I happen to play horde), but I don't know what the population is like now. I suspect it's probably still skewed towards horde, honestly.

I avoided Tanaris since I knew that was a place where I'd run into lots of alliance. I went to feralas and hinterlands instead and leveled there. From there I've gone to felwood and the few quests I could find in azshara. I did sunken temple once and wasted some time in BRD before starting the plaguelands. I'm now getting close to finishing plagueland quests and I'm almost 57, one level until outlands. I did all this without RAF, so if you're using RAF it'll be even faster.

I thought I'd get stuck having to go to tanaris or all the way down to un'goro, but it turns out I have been able to skip those zones entirely. I don't think I'll be stepping foot in winterspring either.

I've been killed a couple times, but it's always been by a single ?? guy and they've never camped me. Overall, since I left the horrors of tarren mill - which will haunt me forever - I've been able to avoid almost all world pvp contact. My group is going to just be used for pve, so I'm completely cool with that.

I started dual boxing not so much to level two toons at the same time but because my 2nd paladin was getting ganked perpetually. I already have a well geared 70 Paladin on Laughing Skull [H] and had a lvl 11 Paladin on my second account that was originally created to be a twink. One day I came across a levelling guide and decided to test it out and couldn't believe how fast my lowbie pally was levelling. Then I got to STV and the misery set in. Out of necessity I decided to start dual-boxing more or less to protect my lowbie pally and have set him up paired with either my 70 paladin or my 70 hunter depending on the environment, usually hunter in the wild and paladin in instances.

The best thing I can see that prevents me from getting ganked now is that the names of my two paladins aren't similar. I kinda think the whole namea nameb namec thing is cool, but it makes you a target IMO. Since my paladins are named Persiphonie and Rhadamanthus they usually don't get assaulted when they're running together. My 3rd paladin on my son's account is named Bublnhearth, so even with the three of them together, the unique names may prevent them from being a kill on sight target.

[ atleast until now, since I gave away all their names. ;) ]
