Hello, everybody!

This is the Dire Maul Tribute run by Peregrine.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezSYLGvbejw&lc=z23auntzjyrkenmjp04t1aokgjhpwnaglta21uheed1cbk0 h00410

Composition is 4x mage and 1x disc.
No consumables were used in this run apart Lesser Invisibility Potion (not mandatory).

Overall, it took me 10 runs to perfect where to stand and what to watch out for.
The mages build is :
https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/mage/2300052310231531-5052000123-002

The priest build is :
https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/priest/5032301330041-23505103100015

The main point of this run is to get some recipes, books and head and staff that are bis.

Pm for more questions or suggestions. The Stratholme live and undead side coming within few days along with Scholomance.

Kind regards,

Peregrine

This rocks!

Thanks so much for including recommended builds!

I liked watching it at x2 speed (but had to mute it and put on my own music).

How are you handling your multi-target sheeping?

Targeting each mob for each mage and then spam sheeping them at same time. Found out it's the best way.

I can't tell from the video as it doesn't really show the other clients in action nor the full mini-windows of them if you switch back/forth like it looked like you did on the king to run your priest down below with the 4 mages up top.

I do it on the fly so fast , it usually takes me 0.5 sec to select mob and swap. f1-f5 are windows corresponding to selected characters (a-e) and then I just click on mob and spam sheep. For group of 4 mobs, it will take me roughly 5 sec max to select all and sheep them. On my priest same bind is applied to shackle in case it is undead mob for the cases of frostbolting/igniting mob and rooting him at same time.

The resolution was bit low as I forgot to change the setting in the Streamlabs. Expect full hi-res quality on Stratholme run.

So you are using upto F1-F4 to quickly switch between the mages to manually target to-be-sheeped-mobs before the pull and then F1'ing back to your main window and spamming sheep until all are sheeped?

If I understood correctly that sounds like a straight-forward approach and pretty simple. Because we are just seeing the one window the video doesn't quite do the interplay & your client switching justice!

You now have me debating whether, for 10man PVE (focused on feeding a Paladin main gear/gold), I should go:

PaladinTank+8Warlock+8pets+PriestHealer;
PaladinTank+8Mages+PaladinHealer (sub-in Priest when AoE healing is crucial);
(or mix/match some of both mages/warlocks/else)

Since I already have a 3Warrior+2Paladin team, I should be able to have DPS characters on my Paladin slots so I can also do Tankless teams as well when I no longer need drops for my Paladin but regardless I prefer tank-and-spank approaches and may just keep a tank in there... Personally I like very survivable/tanky characters not needing fast reaction times (even on my DPS) so I have been leaning toward going the soul-linked Warlock approach but certainly open to recommendations. If I go all imps my Warlocks should have -50% threat on my Paladin making threat very manageable though at times I may want one or more VoidWalker off tanks (I could send VoidWalkers at initial pull like you do with sheeps). I may need to use the off-tanks approach until my Paladin main is well geared but once he is well geared he should be able to face tank most dungeon content so likely, if I find I need some voidwalkers at first, I would try to swap out voids for imps over time...

Since you already have BOTH a 4Lock+Priest team and a 4Mage+Priest team I am very curious what you recommend for 10man team for PVE ease & efficiency for feeding a Paladin gear/gold... PVE is my focus as for PVP I plan only solo play my Paladin in guild teams for at least BGs and am OK with the stay back and dot approach for WPVP if I multibox in WPVP.

I already used the Recruit-a-Friend to link my old 6-10 accounts from WoTK and was working on creating a team of Priest+8Warlocks+Mage (I put the Mage on one of my Paladin accounts) but I haven't put any effort into leveling yet so now is a good time to make any changes... I was also debating on whether I should do a 2nd Priest but then I would have to drop the mage and put the Priest on one of my Paladin accounts to be able to field 8 Warlocks consistently (or 8 Mages if I were to switch to Mages). As it sits currently, without a 2nd Priest, I should be able to field 3 Healers (Priest+2Paladins) and still have up to 3 Tanks (Warriors) with Warlocks so I am hoping a 2nd Priest isn't a must...

Very impressive and thanks again for sharing.

Nice job! I thought this team would have a rough time on hard hitting bosses but I guess using terrain to your advantage gives you enough time.

There are a couple of packs you can use mind soothe to skip them and save yourself a bit of time.

.

I don't see any advantage to this over just having a round robin sheep keymap. The result is the same and you can do it from any window on the fly without having to tab to a different client.

I don't really see the point of 10boxing classic? You can clear every dungeon with 5 and if you're running a DPS/healer team it doesn't take long to pug a couple of melee classes and a hunter to kite Drak for clearing UBRS.

If I were to 10box for PvE purposes I'd go warrior, paladin, priest, warlock, 6 mages. This gives you the option of 2/3 tanks, 1/2 healers and 6 mages with curse of the elements will smash anything in any content you can solo. You could probably even farm ZG trash for the blue BoE's with 6 poly's.
