I wonder what Blizzard's policy is on multi-boxers being harassed by people for multi-boxing. I just started reporting the people that are following me around swearing at me for being a disgusting cheater.

It's never been a multiboxer versus non-multiboxer policy, it's simply a "is this player following the rules" policy. Harassment and foul/offensive language is clearly against the policy of the game, and therefore something you can report someone for.

Also, please refrain from click-bait thread titles on this forum, where the title is not treated as the subject matter of the thread, but is instead used as an opening part of the initial sentence to draw someone in, act as a standalone "cliffhanger," or both. I've edited the title and initial post for clarity.

If they catch on open with insta casts and they end up wasting their time looking dumb. They cant do much of anything beyond that, but if they do then i'd report at that point.

I've been boxing since vanilla on Emerald Dream and when that massive multiboxer who i probably shouldnt name came along the attitudes towards me completely flipped from welcoming to blasting me for being "a disgusting vile piece of trash, go kys" on a daily basis. You just have to learn to deal wit it.

I had a guy last night following me around last night saying he was recording me and reporting me. Had someone this morning following me around trying to mine whatever nodes I was trying to mine and then swearing at me and saying he was reporting me.

Have been putting people on ignore, it's just a bit shocking to me moving over to WoW Classic from Everquest, I never experienced anything like that there. Guess it's a more mature player-base.

I don't think people understand the difference between "Boxing" and "Botting". I multi-box now because I've been playing MMO's for 20 years now and it's keeping them fun and interesting for me.

Somebody telling you they're reporting you because they suspect you're a cheating isn't harassment. Abusing you is (with or without profanity.)

In future if somebody is trying to grief you just change layers by creating a level 1 character in your capital city and using it to invite the rest of your characters.

When I'm bored I sometimes see if I can engage the haters to ask what their actual 'issue' is with mutli-boxing. Over the years it's always come down to the same thing, their opinion that their view of how the game should be played is somehow the righteous and true way and therefore what we do is cheating/easy mode/blah blah blah. I just chuckle and move on. One of these days I'm going to open an ticket and see if i can get Blizz to cough up a count on the number of times my accounts have been reported since launch day 2004 :D

Ignore it and move on. Yesterday i got spit- by some horde player, I Laughed.

I think the funny part was when I was leveling in a zone and horde fellow player, troll- was just saying i'm bad, etc. But he died 10min later as he pulled to many mobs on him, and i just stood there to watch him die.
