You're going to get something like 80/20 software/hardware.

This is due to cost, available space, and ease of setupI agree with you on this but it was just more curiosity then anything else

All software here, not playing hardware with the big dogs. Fursphere made a good point about hardware though in another thread, it does work with *anything*, rather then trying to hope that software won't have compatibility issues with another program.

Keyclone is the only app I use, everything else is macros and the like.

I am currently running 3 machines - 1 "main" that I use as my primary and then two secondary systems which are on a Vetra for key broadcasting but then on the two slaves I run copies of Keyclone and 2 clients each. I'm hoping to get another two boxes up and running shortly though so at that point I will be switched over to full hardware :)

When I am not playing i have a whole array of web-site testing machines setup for browser debugging goodness for the day job :)

How about this..

The amount of votes you get, depends on how many computers you are using for Boxing. That should even up the odds a bit ;-)

Currently running 5 wow clients across 3 machines. I'm planning on making it 5 soon just to avoid certain problems I'm having. That, and I know how to build high-quality machines for very little cost (mostly newegg lurking and planning hardware needs).
Overall, I would prefer to deal with 5-boxing on 5 actual boxes for simplicity-sake. If you plan your furniture properly, you don't need much room at all (just be sure you have enough power). Long DVI cables FTW.

Recall that monitor mounts can be easily purchased to support 5+ monitors (but that's not cost - effective). It would be better, at least I think, to just purchase your bottom row of monitors and wall-arm mount a second row. The cost isn't that bad if you plan it. Most people already have a machine that runs one client of something pretty well. You only need 4 or maybe 5 other machines, which can cost as little as a few hundred dollars for a self-built killer machine or less than that for a mediocre machine.

I'm switching to hardware boxing soon and I suggest everyone else does who can.
