(ema) master switches by changing isboxer windows. why?

Hi MB Fans,

i am having a problem with ema.
If i am on my Mainchar,the Master changes to the toon i am clicking the isboxer window.
Master is set,after clicking to window 2,the master changes to toon2 and so on.

And this is very bad because i use the auto follow after fight and my mainchar always follows another character now after fight because master changes to the toon i click the window on.

i also dont get warning if one my toons dont follow anymore.

please excuse my bad english.

i did a new profile,and it doesnt help.

On the Team tab, disable "Promote Master to Party Leader"

Though I'm not sure that will solve the issue and still behave the way you want.

Remove the JAMBAMaster Mapped Key under each Slot of your Character Set.

You can set your main character as the follow master. That's a setting under EMA Follow. That way your main is always the one they follow.

EMA has a new system in place of this. I don't know if Jambamaster does anything at all to it.

setting a different character as the follow master is the better solution either way, right?

Not changing the master per Mirai (or checking off the jamba management in the character set) is the better solution, in ema there is no point in (ever) changing the master as it doesn’t do FTL, ISBoxer does. (Unless I miss a use case but I never change it and had the same issue as OP initially)

It effects plenty of other things that you want master to be correct in EMA though.

It's usually better to use a tool how it was designed than to break a bit off to suit your current needs.

master is doing a lot less then it used to, as it understand now what char the event is pulled from ,,
saying that warnings still use the master system as does many other parts.

The addon is designed to have the master swap to the character being played.
Stopping that from happening essentially breaks how it was designed to work seeing as there is an option specifically designed to do what the OP wants.

trade is actually one of the reason (for me) why I don't want to keep changing the master: if you do when you go to the window to start the trade, it changes the master and thus the direction of the trade and forces you to issue the trade from the actual person you want to be the holder of the stuff (though I suppose it could be a feature too)

i guess maybe for the very rare 5x identical teams without a tank/lead it makes sense to change it

otherwise I think I remember the goal was for FTL, which again is gone from Ema anyway
