Are they? I mean, like 1/3 of all quests are pickupquests, so you loose alot of quests, and also if you skip a quest you might blow a whole chain away.

What do you say? Maybe just skip them and make up the exp in instances?

Hi mate. I got the problem that one of my toons was about 1 lvl behind the others, and what i did was that i did the collection quests only on him to adjust it.. That way i only need 1x of all the quest items. You might considure doint that if you get the same problem. And maybe do the ones that gives nice chains. But in general i thing you would get more from instance farming.. that way you will also get rep and lots of loots (gear / gold)

I would also say it depends on how many things you need pick up and how often they usually drop. I try to avoid the most pick-up quests but I actually did the quest in Barrens called Consumed By Hatred.
The quest involves collecting 60 Bristleback horns (thats 300 with 5-box) from the Quilboars and I did it! I dont know what I was thinking or maybe I didnt think at all =).
So as stated above, do you get any nice rewards, how much do you need to pick up, do you miss out on a nice chain, lootdrop etc etc, these are the things you need to take in consideration and then decide for yourself.
Good luck mate, hope it helped you in anyway  .

I only did collection quests if the drop rate was high with a fast respawn rate, otherwise I skipped it.

I would check with Wowhead.com to see if there are any complaints of the drop rate.

If you are talking about pick up, as it, quests that you require you to pick stuff off the ground, like the parts quest in Hellfire... I just do them as I do the other quests.

I usually start with the toon with lowest XP, so if I get sick of it, that toon can turn it in and try to catch up to the others.

Since I don't always have large chunks of time to devote to WoW, I usually keep a collection quest if its near my log out point. That way if I only have limited time to play I can grind on it for awhile.

I skipped a lot, but like as previously stated if you don't need that many from a high drop rate you mine as well... I only did the tedious ones if the rewards were good... I've been collecting that ore x5 for the smith anvil on the isle and while it's a bitch I want that vendor to unlock asap
