Made a new 4 warlock, 1 priest team. Using the healer and tank from my previous team I leveled to 60 to boost them in dungeons. Not really efficient for me before hitting 30 with warlocks. Would be a lot better with mages.

Basically, I'm running through the instance, and pulling all the mobs I can with my druid(tank from previous team). When I got them all grouped up, I spam demo roar to build threat, and heal myself a bit with the 60 priest. After 10-12 demo roars, I leave the raid with the two 60s, and I AOE them down with the warlocks. Important that you dont do any dmg to the mobs with the 60s while in group.

They get full xp this way, even though there are 7 characters in the dungeon. Been getting 80k xp/h while rotating library/armory.

So when the level 60 Druid Tank & Priest leave the raid do you quickly convert the existing raid with the remaining 5 players back to a party before starting DPS to tag all the mobs?

When you do that do you start a 1 minute timer and the mobs just keep ineffectually hitting the level 60 tank while your other characters AoE them down?

If you already have enough healers at cap would this be an effective way to level 5 DPS (Warlocks &/or Mages)?

Dont have to convert it back to party. I leave it as raid always. The mobs keep hitting the tank till they are dead. I cast mby 10 demo roars before I start AOEing, and keep doing so while they are being AOEd down. Dont use any timers. Just pull them. Group them. Cast demo roars till you think you got enough threat built up. Pretty straight forward. You need a tank for it to work, and a healer in higher level dungeons.

I can't imagine it would work with anything other than a team with mages or warlocks. The reason the priest is there is to heal them while they hellfire. Wouldnt need a healer for mages. 5 mages would be the absolute best for this, and you can start doing this at level 14 in RFC.

It was horrible to do with rain of fire at level 20. WC and SFK was really bad dungeons for this too. In WC the mobs kept putting my locks to sleep. Like literally my whole team was just sleeping if I made a big enough pull. In SFK they put up curses and do all kinds of annoying shit. Would have to do Stockades at that level. It started getting good for me in BFD.

Ah, and regarding getting ported out.

You can invite them back to the group right after your team has tagged all the mobs if you want, aslong as you dont do any damage, or heal them with the lvl 60 healer, because that'll cause them to be included on the tag. I never have issues with this though. There's like 40 seconds on the timer when all the mobs die usually.

Damn got excited for a way to boost my 4th mage (14) then realized need the lowbies to fully dps. others are 30.

I’ll keep this in mind if I want a lock team after my team hits 60!

In vanilla wow a paladin called Athene (famous speed leveler) got his accounts perma banned doing this exact “exploit” in ZF. Be warned.

its a bit different from the usual mob tagging but i agree i would be cautious with that method

Wait, really? This could be bannable?

edit: you guys are right. Athene got banned for mob tagging in dungeons, but he didnt kill the mobs. He had other people doing it for him. He won the race to lvl 80 because of it. This is slightly different. Probably bannable still

Athene was using 3druids, 2 mages.
2 feral tanks, one resto Druid. Frost mage (all 60) and a boosted mage. Also frost.

step 1, both tanks stealth to pyramid.
step 2, both mount up and run back to entrance. If they get dismounted bear form to avoid the Polymorph.
step 3, gather every mob from the instance at the portal.
step 4, aoe them all down to 10-15%hp with the level 60 frost mage.
Step 5, lvl 60 mage frost nova’s and all the lvl 60’s jump through the instance.
Step 6, boosted mage does one round of blizzard, frost nova, blizzard. May need cold snap frost nova blizzard again. Whole instance dead. 2 or 3 levels per pull. Took about 15 minutes start to finish.

I remember watching their world first report when they got banned at 79 xD so yeah probably they weren't then only ones using that method but they certainly had the most attention...as long as no one reports you you might be fine
