Hello everyone!

So Im totally new to this multiboxing thing, but so looking forward to playing around with it. I feel I could use the input from the community when it comes to my team composition though as I really would prefer not to make a huge mistake and have to start over :)

I have 5 different comps I'm considering at the moment:

warrior, warrior, warrior, shaman, shaman
warrior, druid, shaman, mage, warlock
warrior, warrior, shaman, shaman, warlock
warrior, warrior, shaman, shaman, mage
warrior, warrior, shaman, priest, mage
warrior, priest, shaman, mage, warlock

Are any of these really bad?
Come late game Im mostly interested in having a warrior and shaman, maybe a mage as well. In the late game I dont plan on focusing much on multiboxing in wpvp or bgs,, I might play around with it but I dont intend it to be my focus.

I think I might prefer the warrior, warrior, shaman, shaman, mage comp as that would have extra healing ability in the shaman (who can otherwise be ench or ele) and also alittle crowd control in the mage.

Im not really interested in totally min-maxing the comp, but I dont want to pick a comp that will gimp my 5 man running dungeons at high lvls so I need to reroll 1 or 2 classes.

So I would be very grateful for your insights and help! :)

Unless you have an overriding reason I would not do dual-Warrior and would stick to one of the team compositions with just 1 Warrior Tanking and the rest of the party having ranged options. I realize you can run the shaman in melee which may be OK if you want but if you run into issues at least you can covert them to ranged and still leverage them. Having at least 1 Mage and 1 Shaman can bring a lot of utility.

The following would be my order of recommendation:

Warrior, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock (gives you the most options at cap, lots utility, & potentially 2 healers);
Warrior, Shaman, Shaman, Mage, Warlock (can still do 2 healers);
warrior, druid, shaman, mage, warlock (can still do 2 healers or at least an off-healer)

It seems like Mages and Warlocks are the classes that folk typically use/recommend for ranged DPS... I am not sure if it because Shaman and Druids are less mana efficient but you could also consider:

Warrior, Shaman, Warlock, Warlock, Mage
Warrior, Shaman, Warlock, Mage, Mage

Thank you for your input.

So doing melee cleave with 3 warriors and 2 shamans is not a good way at end game?

Im guessing it might be best to stick with 5 different classes then as that will give me superior adaptability. Plus I get one of each class :)

Plus I get one of each class :)A lot of us doing melee-cleave are denoting that it is substantially harder than a ranged team. One experienced multiboxer got his melee team to cap and is thinking of abandoning the team. I have many years of experience and am finding it much harder than ranged. That being said, once max geared it may be one of the optimal configurations for grinding for gold at cap (if you get there and fully gear it). In the end I would not recommend it to someone new...

Melee is much much more gear dependent than spell casters. Definitely need to see what they can do when geared up a bit.

I am now finally having a little fun with both Sweeping Strikes and Whirlwind.

Now working on farming Ravager (https://classic.wowhead.com/item=7717/ravager).
