Im starting my first mulit-box team. My second computer is in the mail i gotta put it all together and get it running then i get to try this all out. I have 3 WoW accounts so i was going to try to put my main on my older computer and 2 on the new comp. atm im low on cash so i cant go get 3 more comps and 2 wow accounts so im stuck at 2 and 3 (18, just outta high school, no job, the good life).

I could use any tips you can through at me.

1.I need help with what programs to use to control this set up.
i have Keyclone, and i dont know if i can use synergy with it. kinda wanted to know what others were using to do this (if ne 1 is doing this setup)

2. What classes (warrior, priest, ?)?
for the dps call i was thinking lock or mage (most likely lock for lil better agro).

3. And a lil detail of what i should do.
T was thinking of set up priest so he can heal MT, with dps with it. Then pull with war dps and heal from there.

THX for any tips and tricks u post. :)

Hey there slb_07. Good luck on your adventures! Little info: Im using 2 PC'S for my 5 box set-up. Nothing real fancy here either. My main PC is a intel 6700 chip with 1 Nvidia 8800GTX, 4 gigs of ram and 2 raptors in a raid configuration.Im also using a 24" wide screen monitor with that. I run 3 accounts on that pc including my main screen.
My second Pc is a AMD 4800 with Nvidia 7600 Gx Card. 2 gigs of ram with 1 90 gig hard drive. That pc has a 19" lcd. Both PC's use xp home edition. All works beautiful. To help in my efforts i use AutoHotKey on both PC's with Muliplicity so that i can use 1 keyboard and mouse. Macros and a few MODS help out a lot. Dont forget to also tune your settings for maxium FPS in the alt screens including turning off the sound and enabling V-sync. One last note is that im running all the accounts in windowed mode. Hope this helps a little.

Rule #1. Avoid melee on your "bot(s)".
Rule #2. A tank makes elites/group quests easier.
Rule #3. Healing makes things go faster, but so does DPS.
Rule #4. Doing instances with 2 people won't work.
Rule #5. You may wish to Raid/PvP with one or both of the toons.
Rule #6. Certain spells/talents complement each other.

Using those rules, select a few combos that work, and pick one.

Just some examples...

Rogue/Priest
Warlock/Priest
Paladin/Mage
Druid/Druid (Feral / Balance)
Shaman/Shaman
Warrior/Paladin

Rule #4. Doing instances with 2 people won't work.

To a certain degree it will. I've cleared ZF (lvl 47) with just a Prot Pally and a Holy Priest.

I've also cleared Blood Furnace (lvl 64) with the same set up.

In the end - it's what you're really after. But I like 5 boxing better because things go way faster.

In that case, all the above rules still apply, but insert the next one as Rule
#1.

Rule #1. Bots of the same class make life easier.

I once tried a Warrior, Healer, Shaman, RM, SM, BD, BD, Skald combo in DAoC and it ended horribly.

And remove rule #4, as it doesn't apply. Doing instances with 3 people is possible once the mobs are lower than you are (assuming you're a good player).
