Currently running a low-level warrior/3x mage/priest team and the demoshout nerfs have me depressed -- curious about a 4 warlock 1 priest team.

my goals are the ability to clear any dungeon at end game and to do some world pvp, and I have a few questions

1) Does anyone know whether the void boi will keep aggro over dot + wand?

2) Does anyone know whether at end game whether 4 void bois will be enough to tank most bosses?

3) Does anyone have experience to know whether the eye of killrog pull into 4 hellfiring warlocks works as well as it seems on paper? (priest spamming aoe heal)

4) any other thoughts about this team? I've seen its popularity touted but haven't heard much description about its capabilities.

Thanks baes.

Voidwalker aggro is so bad, and there's nothing you can do to get around it. Even if you let him tank for 15 seconds before starting to dps, he will need healing and health funnel will pull aggro. If you resummon or he dies, aggro is reset.

Warlocks have always needed a misdirect ability.

Now if you're still open to doing pve on a warlockx4 priest team, you should consider tanking with the warlocks instead of the pets.

A little known fact is that warlocks can tank. Not kidding, warlocks can main tank most vanilla raid bosses with soul link, searing pain spam, pally conc aura, and the pvp gloves(phase 2).

A team of full demo warlocks would be able to manage their way though most dungeons.

My experience with a 5-lock team leveled during late vanilla/early BC was that I never had aggro issues unless I went spaz-monkey on the DPS rather than just keeping up a stable corruption -> siphon -> health funnel rotation on the hard mobs. Tedious, to be sure, but manageable assuming you weren't struggling because you were undergeared or underleveled for the content.

yes, but the amount would be such that you're still inching through the dungeon and tip-toeing on the threat meter, but a paladin would be much better than a priest for dungeons. Maybe Sanctuary instead of kings on the voids for more threat. Thorns would be so nice. Judgement of light and wisdom would also be a big help.

I think that the soul link suggestion is more in line with how people should be looking at locks. Soul link locks are stupid levels of tanky.

I am running 1 Paladin- 2 Warlocks lvl 42. Currently can clear SM with voidwalkers tanking and paladin as healer. Blessing of salvation on warlocks and 2/3 imp voidwalker. I rarely have issues with aggro. Ive been able to clear sm armory since lvl 39 and cath since 40. Some of the myrimidon double packs can be quite a challenge with enrage. If I could expand my team I would add a mage and priest. Mage for ports/water, priest as healer and set paladin as tank. Don't underestimate blessing of salvation.

I kept asking if anyone had tried 'Blessing of Salvation (https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=1038/blessing-of-salvation)' with VoidWalkers as I had great success with it back in Vanilla through WoTLK with both Hunter Pets and Warlock Pets but can't test on Live as my main team is 3Warriors+2Paladins.

'Greater Blessing of Salvation (https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=25895/greater-blessing-of-salvation)'s flexible -30% Threat may be the biggest advantage the Alliance has over the Horde for large scale Raids (coupled with the scaling from Kings) and it should help us boxers as well.

I can't remember if VoidWalkers can actually Block to allow Paladin's to further increase the VoidWalker's relative threat via 'Blessing of Sanctuary (https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=20911/blessing-of-sanctuary)' but regardless Paladins can at least boost the VoidWaker's relative threat even further via 'Retribution Aura (https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=8990/retribution-aura)'...

Have you tried a full 3/3 Improved Voidwalker spec or even full Soul Link spec (something like this Warlock spec (https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/warlock/-0052310152501051))?

What spec(s) have you currently been running on your Warlocks?

Current spec is 26/7/0 with 2/3 imp voidwalker. I am very curious in soul link, so I will give that a shot at my next respec. I prefer health stone over health funnel though.

I threw it together real quick based on my memory from almost a decade ago when I did up to 8 Warlocks+2 Healers and tried various combinations of maxing out each tree just to better understand each tree's capstone and how the trees could work better together.
