Owning an original G15, it rocks but the new version with orange backlight looks pretty crap... loss of 12 G-keys and no hinged LCD

The G11 is probably more useful as it has more programmabe keys.

The older G-15 (Version 1) is pretty useful for boxing and has a ton of extra programmable hotkeys. The G-11 is the exact same except it doesn't have the LCD screen. The new G-15 (Version 2) I'm not so impressed with. They removed 2/3 of the buttons on the new G-15. The old G-15 has 18 physical buttons compared to the new one which only has 6. There's actually another keyboard I'm looking at trying out. Merc Gaming Keyboard ('http://www.buy.com/prod/merc-gaming-keyboard/q/loc/108/203263457.html#moreimg') It has several programmable buttons as well but I have yet to try it out. Anyone have one of these that can provide some input?

the old g15 and g11 had tons of problems and returns as well as the keys didnt feel natural and felt cheap. the new g15 has less keys but feels like and works like a quality top of the line keyboard. get the new g15 and a N52 or a hotkeys pad in my opinion.
btw that link to theat new keyboard someone posted is NICE i want one of those NOW! :) http://www.roccat.org/index.php?ROCCAT=P…l=9|ROCCAT+Valo that one

Logitech makes the "G15 keyboard" ('http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3498&cl=us,en') and the "G15 gaming keyboard" ('http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/434/180&cl=us,en'). The gaming one is the "original" one. BestBuy still carries them, so does Newegg, they are both the same price.

Wierd.. my text got cut out on the first post :O

This keyboard looks great, but I'm not sure how much I like that the extra keys are between the esc and f1-12 keys, rather then above to keep a normal keyboard layout. I'm pretty used (as I imagine most are) to having those keys there, and that would probably mess with me for a while. It looks sexy though.

The only problem I know about with the G15 gaming keyboard is the original ones had the paint wear off the keys. that was fixed pretty quick, and Logitech will send you new keys anytime you ask for them. I own 3 of them, and have never had any issues. The keys are crisp and responsive (except for on the board that coke was spilled on...). I've been using them for several years now without issue.

The new one is nice too, and much smaller.... which is good... the size of this thing frustrates me at times... it takes up so much space.
