Outdoors AoE locations

Anyone have any good outdoors AoE locations?

Stonetalon Mountains, Windshear Crag Mine - 20-22 mobs, ~85% melee - This location is good for lvl 20-27. Can pull 5-20 mobs in each pull, doing loops going in at one entrance and out the other entrance and then back in the first entrance, after clearing it ~50-75% mobs respawn on the next lap.
Mobs drop ~70% wool cloth, 25% linen cloth, 5% silk cloth (just a guess).
XP per hour ~15k.

If you notice on the tenaris map, caverns of time, to the very east by the sea, there are pirates near a ship and some buildings. If you spread 10 characters in the area, the mobs instantly respawn. Just make sure to grab the mob spawning at the ladder going up the ship from the beach and one at the incoming path, a bit southwest of the buildings. Loot: a metric ton of cloth, gold, rare world drops and rep. Im also selling rep for "x amount of gold on a 1 hour basis", buyers can stand afk and gain the rep. Its also a good place to powerlevel.

Great topic! Was wondering about this, although is running 5 man outdoors as efficient as dungeon grinding? Or are you doing this with smaller teams?

I level faster outdoors than in dungeons because I get tired when doing dungeons and need breaks all the time but outdoors I can do a level almost nonstop so even if the xp per hour is lower it is higher for me because of less breaks.
Before lvl 30 warlocks have really low aoe damage also (22 dps at lvl 29 with rain of fire, 83 dps at lvl 30 with hellfire).
Even with hellfire I am also struggling to get 18k xp per hour in RFK (in reality I probably get ~6k xp per hour because of all the breaks I take).

I currently don't know many AoE spots but want to know more since I run a aoe team now.

For single target dps with shamans I have grinded harpies in northwestern barrens (~12k xp per hour with 10 shamans), the mobs in stonetalon mountain windshear crag mine worked well also (14k xp per hour with 10 shamans), Murlocs in hillsbrad (17.5k xp per hour).

Ofcourse my numbers are really low compared to Hardcore Scape who says he got 42-55k xp per hour when aoe farming SM.

As an ally you can go grind on gnoll camps at the east in westfall lvl16-17 mobs and mostly melee. Not sure how the xp/h atm, will go there with my new team soon and take some notes.
My first team was 3 mages and arcane blast just destroys everything. Now i only have 2 so will see if its as easy.

No drops except runecloth though in phase 1. No costumes, no texts. Thus probably not much competition either.

Just did Windshear Crag Mine worked really well thanks! Anyone else fancy sharing there secret grind spots :cool: haha would be appreciated!

Do you mean no drops related to the events/quests until later? Or, complete lack of itemization like launch? In anycase, tons of 50+ elites that could be pulled in large groups.

I went to Silithus to test their loot tables, especially since costumes/pages could be a good gold farm, and they dropped nothing but runecloth for me, so yeah, complete lack of itemization. But I only killed two round-ups of mobs, so around 30 kills before I gave up already.

Grinded lvl 36-37 Mirefin Murlocs in Dustwallow Marsh for 1 hour 18 min.
They are all melee and in large amounts.
22,500 xp per hour.

There is a risk that other players try to farm it, since it is a popular frost mage aoe farming location.

Seems like runecloth would be a good reason to kill them..exp the main reason.
