Stupid ISP

Sorry but I need a place to vent... My ISP switch from Insight broadband to Comcast... Ever since the switch I have had nothing but troubles... On first switch they started flooding my torrents with fake seeds (which by the way they are getting sued for :thumbsup: ) Blocked even more of my outgoing ports and raised my cable price up $5.... Tonight I am having constant drops from WoW. After checking my M0n0wall machine and my other server seeing nothing out of the norm, reset whole network and still getting it... So of course its my ISP again.... Sad thing is I had my m0n0wall machine up for over a year now with no power failurs or system problems... :( My room mate is bitching too... problem I have over him is... When he gets dropped he just has to log back in once... I have to do it five times :pinch: Ok I feel abit better now, might go clean my house with my new spare time :)

I moved from NYC to Florida recently.

Guess what my only option was.... Comcast!!

Oh boy... Several times a week, it will completely be almost non-functional, with 1000+ pings in game.

Horrible experience since I was last using Optimum Online in NYC which works perfect.

One bit of advice I can give - Do not switch to AT&T Bell South Extreme DSL -- yep, somehow its even worse.

I was getting drops every hour, my modem would reset. Also it made my FPS horrible for some reason, my screens would freeze for half a second every 10 seconds or so.

My comcast has actually been working smoothly for the last week so i gotta find some fuckin wood to knock on.

Charter IS Comcast. They give the same offers/"specials"(Chartercast: 3 for 99 LOLOLOL oh wait only for the first few months then we jack the price up on you, and only available to new customers, screw our loyal customers they can keep paying high) and prices and service and most likely the same connections. My connection's stable enough enough of the time...but when comcast fucks up hoo boy do they fuck up bad...and they'll NEVER admit it's a problem on their end even after you do all their shit and techs can't find anything wrong on your end.

Bottom line: Yeah, Fuck Comcast.
