So I got my x-keys today, and expected a lot of time setting up, and honestly I have a lot to go, but I'm almost half way there.
Creative use of macros and I've got the ability to heal ANY 5 characters in my party, in the order they show up in my unit frames, no matter who they are...
Careful selection of keys and using specific hotkey bars as "keystroke soakers" to stop conflicts like CTRL-F7 also firing F7 on other clients...
Having a key for everything and knowing when to bridge my keys...
So now I've got portals, tables, buffs, fear wards, heals, nukes, agro builders, and even counter spells under control! I've even polished my stop following macro to include a nice formation spread that doesn't leave me looking gimp...
Anyhow, very happy :)

Carefully :) Still a work in progress, but I hope to have effective 25 man healing designed in the near future.

Finished my setup and did some dailies...
It's going to take a bit to retrain the fingers which buttons to push, but I can already see it's much more efficient having it all right there... gonna have to hit up a 5 man soon and see if I can't knock down some content that kicked me in the head before... (steamvaults here I come!)
Still have 8 untapped buttons on the Pro and a totally unused Desktop sitting there... I'm probably going to setup the Desktop for my shaman team just so the keycaps are all pretty and matching ;)...

Nice. Mine arrived yesterday.
Spent last night cutting out labels and setting it/my UI up. Speaking of UI, Trinity Bars is amazing. I've always used Bongos in the past but Trinity is better by a large margin. I set up Macros directly onto the action buttons -- then copied the Trinity Saved Variables to all of my characters so I only had to do that once for all five accounts.
Here's a photo of my x-keys. It's my first attempt at it, so I'm sure I'll be changing things up as I use it.

A quick screen-shot of the new UI is here. ('http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x4/562chris/WoWScrnShot_041108_082256.jpg')
I got mine yesterday and I just love it, nothing's more easy then to set everything up with that baby in a matter of ... a few minutes!

So...do I get the USB or the other one? >.>I've got a Pro PS2 from the recent promotion they did, and a Desktop (20 keys) USB from e-bay... the pro took me literally 20 minutes to setup and get my keys bound to it how I wanted them. The end result being about 3-4 hours of cutting out paper labels and putting them into the keycaps...
The USB one comes with a nice utility to setup, however it's not quite as simple as the PS2... all said and done, I don't think you'll be unhappy with either, but I understand there are keysmash issues with USB devices so if you are trying to setup complex hotkeys you may run into problems (I have 1 hotkey for example that presses [] and ctrl-numpad9 at the same time... I don't know if that key plus a few others at the same time (Say I'm trying to stop following while spreading out and wanting to frost nova and arcane exploade while consecrating and shadow word deathing my focus... this works on mine, but thats a lot of keys for USB to process at once.)

Does X-Keys give you an ADDITIONAL set of keys or does it just use current keys but in a different device? In other words, can I set macros to the X-Keys device that are bound to only those keys and not my keyboard (will they show up as different keys in the key binding section when i press them or will they just be the same as the keyboard keys but in a different fashion, meant to replace it and not necessarily be an addition to it?)
It uses standard keymappings but you're able to set it to bizarre combinations you'd be unlikely to be able to press normally.. for example I think I have one set of buttons mapped to Ctrl+Alt+Numeric Keypad.. not a combination I'd be getting much use out of otherwise.

Ok thanks...this seems to work better on a separate PC than 2 accounts on 1 PC if you have different classes with different key mappings. I was planning on a 2nd PC so this would be a good addition to the purchase. Thanks for the info!

I got mine in today.. and I have the blank legend sheets.
They are NOT in any kind of normal page setup. The sheets come in at 8.5x5.5 which is an unusual setting and in Photoshop I can't seem to change the dang page setup.
Anyhoo.. been at it for a few, still trying to figure it out but can't wait!

PI engineering has templates on their website for different applications. Maybe one of them will fit nicely with Photoshop.
Can someone @ PI Engineering or someone who's ordered from them work out a community discount? After all, they reference Dual-Boxing.com in their X-Keys Pro overview. XD

I'm really tempted to get this too. How do you do it? You program macroes in their software or you just keybind and keep doing macroes in each WoW client?
Thank you,

Order from the manufacturer: www.xkeys.com. There are template sheets for the keys available on their website, but many just size the WoW icons and print, then cut them out.

Hello Guys
I going to buy this useful thing. I must have this!!
But im not sure that x-keys working with Auto Hot Key. So before i spend 170$ i have to know it will work for my setup.

The Xkeys plugs into the PS/2 port and works/behaves like a normal keyboard. So your keyboard multiplexers (software or hardware) with work just fine with it. Keyclone,Octopus or Autohotkey should not have any problems.
Simply plug a standard PS/2 keyboard into the xkeys and plug the xkeys into your PC. Then program the XKeys with your standard PS/2 keyboard. Very, very easy and reliable.

I'm thinking about buying X key's pro. But if I see howmutch it costs in the US -> 170$ thats about 114euro
If I search the distributor here in belgium it costs me 238euro -> 356dollar :cursing:
Is their another solution perhaps, did anybody found perhaps a shop with a good price who's willing to ship it to belgium?

if i use a g15 keyboard.. will that work with a ps/2 xkeys pro? Since the G15 is USB and all... other than that foreseeable problem i'd love to pick up an xkeys.
Thanks!

Guy's I'm realy desperate about my Xkeys.
I live in Belgium (Europe) and I orderd a X keys pro USB version at the home site.
Got it realy fast
But now it won't work. Its a US programmed device, it uses other keystrokes then we use in Europe. (US: qwerty , europe: azerty + the ;:=-à keys are placed on a different place) it just won't work.
Is there a way I can put another file, or I don't know what, in the folders of xkeys or will it just never work here?
I realy would be glad If i can get it working, I'm beginning doing dungeons more and more and I just have not enough keys to controle my macro's.
Sloef ;(

Well it does say on their site:
"If you are purchasing 10 items or more, please contact the sales
department for potential price breaks"
So it's probably possible to a group discount.
