How to heal with spell ranking using vuhdo or other addon

I've been trying to use Vuhdo in class like retail, but the spell rankings are problematic. On my shaman healer, Vuhdo only recognizes the highest level spell. So there's no apparent way for me to use a lower ranking heal. In Classic, not only are lower ranked spells less powerful, they are much shorter to cast. There's a huge difference in mana consumed and the time to heal a healing wave rank 4 vs a rank 2.

I did find that I could use the addon Clique to use different ranks, but it only works when mousing over the actual player frames. It won't work using a repeater region using Vuhdo. That's a tough change getting used to using only the party frames for healing versus something like vuhdo. If I could find an addon that would move the party frames, it might work, but no luck on that so far.

Anyone else having this issue or a solution?

Spell ranks seems to work fine in vuhdo for me.

In vuhdo when setting up Mouse Key you can write like:
Left Button
Healing Touch(Rank 2)
And it uses rank 2, even though rank 4 is learned (tested it on my druid).

I think you probably just wrote the spell wrong, you have to manully write them, if you drag and drop spells from spellbook or it shows without rank.

You my friend are my hero of the day. I was putting in a space like this "healing wave (rank 2)" By leaving out the space between the spell and the parenthesis, it works great. Thanks so much for the post. :)
