I've been playing a tremendous amount and my crew is basically level 14. I'm Alliance so I can't really jump into Ragefire.

I feel like once I get to Deadmines I can relax.

I've been trying to use the quests in the various kobold caves which require heavy collection as grind spots.

Anyone find a couple of good grind spot areas that I can put my head down and just mindlessly kill for 6 levels?

I almost feel it could be faster to solo quest each of my 5 guys to 20 than to try to level them as a team.

Interested to hearing what the rest of you have to say!

Questing as normal, but skip any quest that requires multiple drops, it's just not worth it. Travel to all the early questing zones instead. You are right in that once you hit DM you will start hitting your stride. Personally i'm rolling with 3x Mages and @ 14 with Arcane Explosion things really took off

I used the FedEx approach to get to get my team 12:

One SNAFU I hit was that I switched my team to raid at one point to help some random player kill a boss and because I play with my party in raid frames I didn't notice it and screwed myself on some quests and other XP until I realized what was going on...

I haven't had to use it yet but if I have any gaps where I need to grind I plan on ginding cloth as I have 5 first-aids to level, I want max bags over time, and my 2nd+ teams will have Tailoring for the moon-cloth cooldowns:

At what level do you plan to head into Deadmines? I was thinking of heading in there a little early and just focusing on farming trash packs for awhile and avoiding bosses for a few levels.

I have been having the same issue, first I got messed up by queues and have my tank and healer at lvl 13 and 2 mages/1 warlock at lvl 11 but I am going to just try to have 2-3 other people I know with me in deadmines tonight to start gearing up my team to at least be able to start.

If the following is correct the quests all require level 14 or 15 and the DM dungeon can be entered at 14 (considered red):

For reference my team is 3 Warriors+2Paladins so I have more healing available than a single healer team but I have minimal CC so likely my team will also be taking more damage... After my Warrior charge stun I will try to use my Paladins to chain a few stuns on initial pull to see if that helps.

I believe deadmines can be entered at lvl 10 so I’m just planning on taking 5 of me and a few other friends in to gear and at least see how it is at such a low level (I am also lazy)

I played for about 24 hours straight as soon as Deviate-Delight launched. I'm only level 9 and I did the starter zone + all of Elwynn. I'm really having trouble figuring how to heal while driving from the tank, so higher level mobs are a real problem. I think I'm gonna just bind Renew and Lesser Heal @target to my f keys until I figure out something else. Using HotKeyNet because money is very tight ATM, and for retail I got around just fine with it.

If your priest is assisting the tank, you could make the heal macros to target's target, so then your priest will heal whoever has aggro.

/cast [@targettarget,help] [@target,help] [] Renew

How long did it take you to get to 12 using this method?

Seems like it'd be better to just get a decent raid frame addon like ElvUI or Grid and use clique or mouseover macros. @targettarget Isn't always going to be the character with low HP. Especially when you're pulling groups of enemies or enemies with cleave/AE skills.

In HKN you should be able to use MouseIsOverWindowRect to make squares that you can click and then it triggers whatever you sent it to do. So get some addon with some good health bars/raid frames then make MouseIsOverWindowRect squares on top of each character and then tell it to send a key that you put a macro on to heal that player.

You can do mouse healing like that without mouse broadcasting (since mouse broadcasting is unreliable in HKN) to heal from your tank.
It requires a lot of hard coding (both the locations of the raid frames and who gets the heal, which makes it not work when in a raid group/playing with someone else or switching a character. But with just your own team it should work good.
