Hello guys,

I've been thinking about dualboxing a warlock along with my main for some time, first for RP reasons and now I'm thinking about actual gameplay reasons.

I have 0 knowledge on the subjet, first if it could be doable and mostly playable? As even after trying to search for this class composition, I only saw tank/heals or same class setups (which I understand are easier to play).

Even if I manage to set macros and keybinds right, how would it work on endgame content such as simple dungeons to raids ?

My character being melee focused and always on the move, it would be hard to also properly control the other character with a simple /follow command without leaving the other character behind if I manually try to do things while on one of them.

If I had to guess, this comp would only be useful for questing/WQ and occasional RP. Which wouldn't justify extra sub. But I think I'd like to try it once I move out of my place and get a second screen.

What are your thoughts on this comp? Do multiboxers only stay with same class setups (most I've seen are just hunters).

Sure it's doable and playable. Warlock is can be tricky to make macros for the dps rotation, but I have a mixed-class team with a demo lock who does respectable damage using only 2 buttons. You can use the cooldowns of Call Dreadstalkers and Soul Strike in a castsequence to ensure you have enough shards for Hand of Gul'dan. The second button is for when you have demonic cores. You can make a big weakaura to show when to use this, so that you will notice it even when you are focused on your main.

As well as /follow you can use interact with target in combination with click-to-move. There is also a multiboxing addon called EMA that will do (among other things) follow-strobing so the lock will automatically move to your main after combat.
