Hi Everyone,

A couple of new quick guides for people getting into multiboxing and wanting to set up videoFX and setting up IWT.

If you want more advanced versions check out MiRai's vids but I think these are pretty good starting points for people looking to get started in Classic.

Cheers

Dalo

Nice to see short videos for beginners! It should help a lot!

Quick point about VFX though, I think using in game/innerspace isn't maintainable, you should setup your VFX as a keymap (and that way you can also put keys to turn it on/off)

Interesting.. why have you found its not maintainable? I have used VFX before but not a huge amount

If you set it up in isboxer suite you can edit at will, change things precisely, but most importantly you can add keybinds to show/hide some vfx and you can apply same or different ones to different teams and layout easily

1000% this. It's a fair bit of work to get all the keys done but it makes things A) more resilient to changes in teams and such, and B) able to work for someone else (for debug, etc.) with a simple profile export. It also allows you to easily do things like "when turning off broadcast, remove all repeaters." Or another example is only enabling VFX on certain types of characters, like healers. VFX is such an underrated feature. ;)

I'm currently working on moving my ingame videofx controls outside to isboxer also. I got my fishing one finished one finished and it's great. I can hot key that one set and toggle it. I can now easily add it to any character set that I want to fish in. Working on my healing one now.
Basically I set it up with in game gui to get all the positions the way I want then copy the info to the isboxer keymap.

So they're leaving Interact With Target in for wow classic? That will be a game-changer for melee groups. (none of the hundreds of YouTube videos I watched mentioned this, probably because no one cares about IWT outside the multibox community)

Well, the legally blind folks appreciate it I'm sure. Between /follow, /assist, IWT, and DeadlyBossMods, they can raid, too.

I vaguely remember someone posting a little while ago a fix to IWT that makes it far more reliable. I did some searching here and for some reason I could not find it. Does anyone know where that post is or remember what the fix was?

Thanks!

I remember the post but can't find the specific one. I think it just linked this: https://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/54562-Fixing-the-melee-IWT-runaway-problem right?

Pretty sure that's correct, or it's where my thinking went anyway. :P
