Hi All,

Does anyone know if you have a team of Warrior 3x Mage and Priest, if I can set up a round robin that will just broadcast to the 3 mages and skip the warrior and priest?

Right now I have Frost Nova set up on a round robin when I press number 5. But the warrior and priest both have number 5 blank so when the round robin gets up to there boxes I have to hit 5 and have it do nothing in order to get it back the mage.

Is there a way to set ISBOXER to skip the warrior and priest and just have the round robin go between the 3 mages windows then back to the 1st mage again?

Thanks :)

Dalo

Yes you need to setup "action groups" in ISBoxer and assign the mages it to it. I am not 100% sure if "action groups" is the exact technical term in ISboxer as my memory is foggy on the details but I remember doing that. Basically my tank did one thing everytime on keypress and the DPS group did a round robin for the same keypress. If I recall correctly you can also set the round-robin to reset to the first mage if you stop the rotation for a certain period of time. That way the round-robin always start from the same/first mage (assuming the delay to drink between pulls is long enough to reset the round-robin).

The right term should be "Action Target Group". Assign the characters and choose that group ("Group (all of):<GRPNAME>" or "Group (others in):<GRPNAME>" to exclude the active window) as target for your hotkey.

I personally like setting round-robins to reset after X seconds to know the exact sequence on new pulls but that is often a "nice to have".

I have a few groups going and I think I have figured out how to round robin my two mages, but how do i prevent it from effecting my other teams?

If i am running my team with 2 mages i want button press 6 to cycle the frost nova, however if i am running my druid team i want my button press 6 to be broadcast to all people.

----------------

I figured it out.

First copy the "Combat Broadcast". Then rename this combat broadcast to what you want want for the current team.
Then assign the round robin to the key you want to use.
Then replace the combat broadcast in the character set profile with this new combat broadcast set.

Use action target groups.

Have an ATG for your 2 mages, name it like "2 mages". Then have it round robin the target group "2 mages". Make a second ATG called "Druids". Make the action for that as well. Now, 6 will work with your mages, or it iwll work with your druids.

I'd also HIGHLY recommend you do not use the build in round robin method. Instead, make a multi step action, that sends to each mage in order, and resets to the first step, AFTER the first characters cool down is up. This method is better, because it makes it predictable who is going to do what in which order. If you use the built in round robin method, I believe it simply just starts and stops where you left off in the rotation, which makes it a bit of guess work to figure out who, is about to frost nova for instance.

You can set the reset timer on the advanced tab. To setup the round robin, just make X number of steps in the action. At the top, I'd recommend ticking the do not pass for X seconds, and set that at like .1

This way, if you're in a state of panic(or lag) you can mash the button and not blow all your frost novas at once.

Thanks for the additional tip. I know this thread was old, but it was the one helping me out when i google searched it. I figured it may help out someone else to bump it to the top.

Rather than using action groups you can also create keymaps with one step per character you want to send the action to.

I generally prefer this method to round robin because you can also add a delay before moving to the next step so you don't accidentally fire two cooldowns.
