It’s been sooo long since I played wow or any games but classic has me genuinely excited like I haven’t felt in years. Back in burning crusade I started boxing a warrior, priest team to basically have instant groups. Just ask for dps in chat and the group was up and running quickly. Some dps figured out quickly that I was a boxer but sometimes they didn’t. I was proud of that. Anyway.

I never tried out other tank healer combos. What would be ideal for 5 mans and maybe some pvp? World pvp mostly probably. For the first time I want to try a pvp server. Practice got me good at pve but I didn’t get so much practice with pvp and got discouraged pretty quickly. I’m thinking maybe priests are too squishy for a pvp pocket healer. Maybe pallies would do better on plate and a shield?

Has anyone effectively dual boxed a healer and melee pvp team? I think doing lots of BG’s back in the day (not boxing them), anytime I saw a dps and healer team I thought it was too cool and was really jealous. (They did not seem to be boxers though)

That means you should likely only take a single character into BGs.

To me the key question is which class do you consider your main and which class(es) do you plan to take into BGs (assuming one at a time)?

Not knowing your answers to those questions I would say generically that Warrior+Paladin (both Dwarves) is the best duo combo for PVP (but I would go Human on the Warrior if also doing PVE).

I think Warrior+Priest (especially Dwarf Priest) is the next best duo for PVP. Again Dwarves would be best for both if PVP focused but if PVE raiding is a strong goal then I would go Human on the Warrior.

If you prefer Horde I believe Orc Warrior and Troll Priest are likely best the best Duo for both PVP & PVE (unless you plan to mainly spec as a Shadow Priest and then maybe Undead is as good as Troll).

Thanks for the feedback. Haha. I am psyched over this. I might try different combos over time. I was curious about a warrior/shammy team in pvp/pve but it seems that would not be the most ezmode option. I have a small preference for Horde but whichever combo class/race is the most ezmode, I think I want to do that to start. That hurts so much that they nerfed the autofollow for BG's. I think I tried BG's a couple times but even with auto follow I felt like I wasn't pulling my weight on both toons and just gave up. I guess there's a small chance they'll un-nerf it for classic but not too much.

As for which I'd use for BG's.. I guess probably the warrior more since killing people is more fun but I'd switch it up with the healer some too.

Yeah like you my brother likes to kill stuff but has always played Paladin (Warsong Gulch and AV were our favorites). I did various heavy Holy Tree Paladins and his Paladin talent tree always had a good amount of Prot and then splashed some Ret or Holy (or some of both)... He changed his builds quite often and I don't think he ever got one he was really satisfied with..

This go around I plan to get BiS sets for Holy Paladin for me and BiS sets on both a Paladin and Warrior for him...

Hopefully when we duo he will like & prefer Warrior as he really played his Paladin like a Warrior with me healing him. I suspect when he goes into Battlegrounds without me he will want to be on his Paladin... Once we get full T2+ sets I will be more excited about trying some duo Pally options to contrast/compare though I think likely Pally+Warrior will still be best.

If you are going Alliance on a PVP server I would consider going on Herod as it should be the most active server with a good amount of Alliance MultiBoxers...
