View Full Version : 5 accounts vs 6

Greetings! So as the time grows nearer, I've been putting in a lot of thought about my group composition and leveling strategy as I'm sure most of us have.

However, I face a small dilemma I haven't been able to find an answer/suggestion for anywhere, and that is: Should I box 5 accounts or 6?

I currently have 6 active subs so come time, I have the option to box 6 accounts, but I'm worried this will drastically increase the amount of time and tedium it will take to level.

Running 6 accounts means dungeon grinding is no longer an efficient option, which I can justify not doing as I don't mind quest/mob grinding (even if it is slightly less efficient); however, as I currently understand it and please correct me if I'm wrong, but you cannot complete quest objectives in a raid group in classic - meaning quests with shared credit will always have to be done on that 6th account, increasing aforementioned time and tedium.

I should mention it is one of my major goals to reach 60 fairly quickly, although I have no intentions or aspirations on being in the top % who do so first, if that makes any sense.

It really depends on what you want to do, but I have a hard time seeing what 6 accounts offers over 5?

Personally I'll be running with 6 as well, but the 6th account will just be used for playing the AH game while I'm dungeoneering with my team of 5 :-D

Go with 5 accounts or multiples of 5. 6 will just makes things extremely hard on yourself since you can't enter dungeons with more than 5 and can't complete quests in a raid.

One very minor benefit to having 6 accounts would be that you could use the 6th account to reset dungeons while you're farming on your 5box team.

Not sure if that's worth paying another $15/month for.

Not sure if that's worth paying another $15/month for.Good point but can't you still do that with 5 accounts with a lower level alt on one of your 5 accounts (albeit with more pain due to logging out/in characters)?
