heya! Since they posted the PC requirements (https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/wow-classic-pre-launch-test-11-00-a-m-pdt-august-8-and-minimum-specs/239621)

How would you tackle it if you wanted to run your own groups, all the way up to 40 mans? I know this game doesn't require too much from your system, but I assume 40 accounts would still be a massive drain, lol.

My go to speccs these days for "flawless" gameplay, even at crowded areas, at 1080p: amd 3900x 12core cpu (2 per game, then 2 free for the OS), 32gb RAM 3600, nvidia 8gb 1070 or similar. 3x12 fan all in one watercooler, 750w gold+ rated powersupply, 500gb ssd, win 10.

Mind you this is for each 5man. 60 fps front, 25 fps back. Lowest settings on slaves, with some on high on big screens on the bottoms, and ofcourse using hot swap macroes to change grafics on the fly, and games on lowest dx11 settings. And you also need 2 monitors for each pc, a two vertical stand, so you can play one game at the bottom one and 4 on the upper.

You do the math, this wont be cheap :) And also add money for good enough router, fiber, a metric ton of cables and power outlets that have enough juice and fuses to run everything at the same time... oh and your room is going to get crazy hot with all this hardware...so you need a very good AC. And a veeeery big pc desk to carry all the monitors...and one desk to carry all the pcs. And.... the subscriptions....choose the 6months deal. Time to take a loan ;)

And say byebye to any free time and social time you used to have... and remember to not mess up the logins... if you mess up the broadcasting, you have to manually enter the "im not a robot" test on all 40.. "1 hour of pain".

Oh and ftl wont work with all these accounts, so you will have to manually create assist, focus, follow etc macros. Its a lot of work.

The classic client consumes ~500MB of memory. You don't need 32GB for 5 clients. 16GB is plenty by a huge margin.

When i play live on bfa, when i had 16gb i ran out of ram and accounts started to auto shutdown with no warning. 32gb solved these issues. And even if you play classic, you probably also want to play live at some point. And getting 32 vs 16 at the prices we are talking about here, its not much money to secure a troublefree gaming experience. Just my 2 cents.
