Hi All,

Not posted in a while, just hoping to get a few views on a couple of questions if possible?

I'm looking for a fun composition, focused mainly on World PvP for the end game but the ability to level and gear up as painless as possible.

I got a few questions for any of the mature members of the communinty or well-researched newer ones?!

I played WoW on launch but did not start boxxing until the end of Panda so things very different!!!!

1. In your oppinion what is strongest wPvP compesition for 10x man?

2. In your oppinion what is strongest wPvP composition for 10x man with ease of leveling up, gearing up and day to day WoW outside of PvP?

3. Running 10x toons, would you look at questing two groups of 5x?

4. How would you, breif notes level up 10x toons if you had them?

I'm currently looking at the following two compositions - I'm not a novice boxxer so not too worried about mixxed teams if they're reccomended but I do think;

10x Druid
Utility, travel, heals, dps all in one. Can stealth

10x Shaman
From my previous knowlidge this seemed to be the go-to class for boxxers towards the end of classic? Assuming heals and high AoE DPS.

Not sure if them compositions would need splitting up to add maybe a tank or something as backup for PvE during leveling and gearing, that's really why I made the post.

Thanks in advance :D

I would level in dungeons, a pain to do quests while multiboxing especially in vanilla. Some people tested xp in dungeons and noticed it is really good (with a good group it can give faster xp than questing solo).
Not sure how well 5 shamans can level in dungeons though but probably ok with high armor and ranged burst.
Need a lot of water. With lvl 50 shaman quest you get trinket to restore mana for entire party: https://classicdb.ch/?item=20503
It might work ok to quest when you use IWT to loot with everyone at the same time to get items marked as quest items on all characters.

To gear up I would quickly get to 60 before phase 2 start and then do world pvp to get pvp ranks. Might get honor slower than 5 characters because of splitting honor. Rank 10 (MC quality) or rank 12-14 (BWL quality) is really desirable but a lot of effort and when phase 3 starts it won't be possible anymore since honor is faster in bgs and no follow in bgs.

Otherwise you kinda need to raid, and getting gear on 10 characters from raid is not gonna be easy.

I think shamans should be way better than any other group for pvp.

With 10 Fire Nova Totems you should be able to kill anyone in melee with a 15 sec cd. With engineering you will be able to use Goblin Sapper Charges to kill again when Fire Nova Totem is on cd.
With 10 shocks you should be able to 1 shot anyone that have good gear, ~5 shocks should be enough for someone with bad gear.
10 Chain Lightning should be pretty much 2.5-3 kills, for lower geared players 5 should be enough.
Can use Nature's Swiftness for instant heal or instant chain lightning.

Totems affect party only but should be very good still. Especially Grounding Totem since it doesn't break if the spell doesn't deal direct damage (not sure how they stack when they are all up at the same time).

The biggest benefit I feel shaman have over any other class is that they have extremely high burst and many instant spells.
Druids mainly use dot damage. Having to cast 2-3 second spells is not great in pvp either or build rage or run to target.

Hots doesn't stack in Classic so that is a pretty bad thing for stacking druids.

Thanks for the comprihensive reply.. it's given me some insight and really changed my mind with the non-stacking HoT!

I did want to go Shammy simply because it's a class I've not done boxxing wise and to me has always been the orignal class I've encountered (very rarley) when playing solo back in the day.

IF you really wanted to do 10x would you advise doing it in two distinct groups?

Eg;

Complete dungon to it's level cap on party 1
log second team
Complete dungon to it's level cap on party 2
Move to next one

[Repeat]

Or run two dungons at same time and manage the two instances?

I have a main PC I use to control 10x but if it was say 1.5x more effort (than 2x) to do all 10x at same time I wouldn't be adverse to setting up two distinct PC's and running them side by side??
