Just starting out. I have a main account with 6 120's and 4 new accounts with just one max level character (demon hunter at 120 on each).

Looking for suggestions on how other players set up the accounts with tanks, healers and dps.

I plan on just doing pve dungeons, daily quests and transmog, no pvp.

Would an ideal setup be to have one account only have tanks, one account only have healers and lastly the other 3 accounts have dps?
Or is more efficient to have multiple of the same class on multiple accounts, like one paladin on two accounts, one druid on two accounts for Tank/heal/dps options?

Depends on how much time you have. Generally speaking, you should level the team you wish to run as once you hit 120, because leveling takes so long you may be burnt out and not want to level anymore.

I don't think I play like most people do, but for me I do not worry about all tanks on one account, all healers on another, etc. All accounts have all things.

I leveled like:
5 death knights
5 paladins
5 priests
5 demon hunters
5 rogues
5 shamans
etc

Now I can create teams by mix/matching from any account. This has a big plus with the constantly changing dungeon meta, I can field any class.

But that way does take a lot of leveling and most people don't have that much time. You mentioned transmog so having a plate/mail/leather/cloth each on your team will get you the most drops.

I would also recommend the pro system if not using already.

Doing the same as @JohnGabriel - allmost every class on every account. (got 8 accounts)

The free boost that comes with every expansion do help to get to get it done :) - and this https://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/55363-Blizzard-sale-discounted-transfers-and-BFA

I keep tanks on main account, healers on another and dps on last 3 like you mentioned.
Frustratingly though over time I've ended up moving from Alliance to Horde, and back and forth about 3 times while also moving servers. I've vowed to never change again though! As I've ended up leveling I think every class to some decent degree but right now I have a lot missing that would otherwise be complete or just short of being max level.

I also agree with JohnGabriel's thoughts, make sure you enjoy the 120 experience before trying to level another set of characters, luckily your DH's started out at 98, and you should hopefully have a 110 boost on those accounts as well.

Going from 1-120 is also nice when you can queue for LFD, I just did it on a team up to lvl 82~ before stopping and going back to the 120's.

What is the benefits of switching servers? Better experience on the auction house? Or raiding groups? I am curious because I am on my orginal server from 10 years ago and its low population. Wondering if I should have started on a new high pop?

Cool, I was afraid that was going to be the case. When you lvl up 5 same classes are you able to do the under 60s dungeons or do simply just quest?

There wasn't a huge benefit to moving servers, just moved around to play with friends. Although multiboxing that doesn't quite make sense sometimes!
I'm definitely staying put, but I am on a high pop Alliance realm which helps.

if it is 5 druids, pallies, or monk yes you can use lfd for instant queue and xp
otherwise not (you need to travel and don’t get end of dungeon xp)
