I've heard that Omega accounts can multibox Eve... is this true?

Some streamer found a set of Planetside 2 chars being boxed.

This was posted into an outfit's Discord. I said "ho hum, looks like normal boxing, don't know what DBG's stance is on it... but in EvE online multiboxing is flat out forbidden...."

At which point multiple people came back saying "Eve multiboxing is not forbidden as long as you are running Omega accounts...."

Which way is it?

CCP's policies are better discussed with CCP, rather than an unaffiliated outfit that has no right or recognition within CCP's business to tell you what they will and wont allow.

That said, on CCP's own site, in the EULA for EVE (https://community.eveonline.com/support/policies/eve-eula-en/), they have stated:


YOUR ACCOUNT You may establish more than one Account for each copy of the Software licensed. You are however not allowed to play EVE by using more than one Account at the same time, unless you pay a subscription fee for each of the Accounts you intend to use for that purpose.

Seems damn clear to me. As long as you are paying for them, you can play with as many accounts as you like.

No expert but Eve doesn't allow broadcasting. They don't mind multiboxing otherwise.

This. CCP does not allow the things we think of as "multiboxing." They allow the use of multiple accounts assuming you are basically pressing ALT+TAB and then clicking/keypressing in each window.
