So I got 2 stress tests and want to test (when the realm are briefly online) and prepare...
What kind of profile / command line option should I put ?
Guessing this is the path
<Setting Name="Path">C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_</Setting>
but what about -d3d11
is it needed/useful for classic ?
btw what is d3d11legacy ?
can we add it to the dev release/build of innerspace ?

I got it setup - will stream tomorrow (already streamed login etc for test) - hopefully I can test follow and some other stuff
the command line option I think it may be a noop
<Set Name="World of Warcraft classic beta" GUID="1731177972">
<Setting Name="Game">World of Warcraft</Setting>
<Setting Name="Executable">WowB.exe</Setting>
<Setting Name="Parameters">-d3d11</Setting>
<Setting Name="Path">C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_</Setting>
</Set>

Hi Moorea, I have got 2 accounts for the stress test as well. Your setup helped me to configure it in Innerspace. However it looks, the -d3d11 is not applied, the beta client may be ignoring the parameter. Same goes with -d3d11legacy as my game windows still blink when I switch to/from deskop. When I use retail client, this blink happens with DX12 only.

That's how mine is setup, though I don't have a second account to test with yet.

I didn't notice blinking but yes it seems those options (or other -foobar you can come up with) are not doing anything

At the moment, there is one available DirectX version for Classic, and it's DirectX 11. If anyone is ever confused as to what setting is and isn't available, you can just open up the in-game settings and look at the API drop-down to see what's listed there.
So, with only one available option to choose from, using a commandline parameter in an attempt to change the API is not going to do anything special, and the game is obviously going to ignore it.
EDIT: While the above holds true, in general, there's further clarification in my next reply.

I don't have a drop down in my client

I don't have a drop down in my client
Heh, you're right - I completely forgot that when there's only one choice, there's no reason to have a drop-down.
With that said, it's listed in the config.wtf:
SET gxApi "D3D11"
