1 person = 100%
2 people = 50%
3 people = 39%
4 people = 33%
5 people = 28%

That was on original classic in 1.12. But don't know if they changed something in the Beta.

.

To break it down a touch for my brain.

Mob A: is worth 100xp.

If I kill it solo I’ll get 100xp
If I duo it I’ll get 50xp
If I trio it I’ll get 39xp
If I 4 man it I’ll get 33xp
If I 5 man it I’ll get 28xp

ja?

Everyone's aligned so far: 5*.28 = 1.4.
Each player gets a 40% bonus, but then xp is split 5 ways.

EDIT: Outdated formula(s).

MobXP / PartyMembers * 1.4 PartyModifier.

Party Modifiers
1 person group = 1.0
2 person group = 1.0
3 person group = 1.166
4 person group = 1.3
5 person group = 1.4

Elite mobs give double XP.

So, a mob that gives 100XP solo will give 28XP with a full party of equal level (56XP if elite.)

100 / 5 * 1.4 * 2 = 56

I guess not, based on what the page actually states:

The basic formula has changed in Patch 4.03a to be relative to the Mob's level and not your own.

There's a link to a spreadsheet that is supposed to show the old calculations, but the link is dead.
