Q: Why Did you quit jamba it was great

A: Jamba has been Great for the last few years but most of the code was written for WOTLK 3.0.3 it was not coded by me then and Jafula Made most of the code, Its getting very very very outdated and am fed of of hacking into something i know can be done better.

Remember how bad blizzard's own code is! They can change a SKY box somewhere and lose a summon stone at dead mines If you think this is easy to work though then you can be wrong i can get very very stressed looking though 17 addons! Yes that right Jamba was classed as 17 Addons i could change something in one addon and break it somewhere else that has nothing to do with it! Even TSM has axed the Module system for there "own" what they class as there own Code!

As well You prob seen by now all the users that wonted old jamba back How bad It was/is to update to BFA and this is without the really bad error i found (i guess it was the skybox at blizzards end) or though saying that WoWapi is very funny and they started a phasing system that where they keep the code around a bit but it does not work on ptr/beta for a few builds the poof sometimes they just go all out and remove it off the bat! its really "fun"

When beta hit us i made the choice of just working on EMA and letting Jamba and me go our own ways, much of the beta feedback was to keep it jamba so it could work with isboxer and commands lines etc stayed the same i went back and foreword for months on this So i moved on from EMA and when With "Jamba" but using my new EMA code EMA i started working on in wod it was not something i put togaver in 5 mins and spend many many long nights on it. and am still nowhere ner at the point i would like to be at. but like they say time i money friend! And or though i work part time sometimes i just find it to hard to get out of bed. All i can say is i wish i stayed with EMA because in turn that all that happened now anyway. anyway this story could go on forever! Maybe i should write a book.........

A: Not really Curse forge has a plan that they give devs something but it can be as low as $0.15 every 3 days! its like 12p in the UK there not a lot we can buy for 12p over here 1 pt of mink is around 55p. (this plan used to be great before twitch and minecraft came! )

the 1st year i got a good £60 from cruse that got me some pc stuff!

Now i just cashed out £30 for about 4 years work and even then i had to give tax info!

As for donation's they come slowly even if i gone out my way to help/add something for someone.. Anyway am not trying to make anyone free bad but when i can not even get a thank you from half the people i know now you was more supporting then i had in my head. Jamba peeks at around 3000 downloads and it was hard to track where the information should be put it seems here my main place is not fully so when you do a big update they did not see

To Request a feature then use my Bug Tracker (https://bitbucket.org/blossom_ebony/ema/issues) (again you do not need an account to post there) and put it as a enhancement don't be silly and set the Priority high is not funny and if anyone does then ill lower it and put it at the bottom of the list thing about what your doing you help me you help yourself and you help all the other EMA users. Q: "Push Settings" now working????

A: So it seems That A Lot does not understand how to setup a team without isboxer doing it for! and then reporting "push Settings not working!!!!!" Right So you Need to Add the Team List on your "master" of all the chars You would like to push the settings to As Well on the they need the master (or the teamList as well) so they can Trust the "Master" WITHOUT THIS ANYONE COULD SEND YOU SETTINGS and you know how much you could get trolled with someone with half a brain? As well if two boxer was to group up settings could get mixed up!

There is a isboxer "Sync" that you need to turn on in the ISBoxer module then Relog your team for them to get a teamlist!

Hi, so am releasing EMA V2 it has some cool stuff sorry about my Lack of time on EMA but i have been very mentally unstable again. it sucks and am sorry i do really love all my supporters for EMA and i hope to have a EMA for classic! that is the next goal so am saying my carpel tunnel for that!

Fantastic addon, getting back to multiboxing and it seems like a great replacement for Jamba. Thank you for your work on this, ebony!

A couple questions:
1. Hiding the blizzard quest tracker in favor of EMA's alone seems to disable the "Click to complete quest" button that pops up for some quests, which got me stuck on a quest turn-in until I realized this button was missing. Is there addon or alternative to solve this that people are using?

2. Often my EMA quest tracker will end up only showing a couple of my characters on a quest when all of them are on it. Would using the guild communication help with this at all?

The function is literally using the API that Blizzard provides for all add-ons to use, and it's been available (previously, in JAMBA) since, at the very least, the WotLK expansion.

If I can do that I'll be very happy and figure out the rest slowly. But it defaults to have a menu that is right over my action bar at the bottom covering up my keys. Ok I see that there's a Classic version of the addon and a retail version. I got the Classic one and it's working much more as would be expected. Thanks for the prompt replies.

I have a team member that doesn't show up in the quest tracker for any team member. He doesn't even show in his own tracker.

[edit] It turns out that this toon is not auto-tracking quests. I did some research on this but I can't get any of the solutions to work. At least I can track them manually.

Quick question, I can't seem to push settings on my MASTER and it goes to any group members so they all have same settings. I mean, I can just broadcast and do it and seems to work the same I assume, but I have tried 5 times to start from scratch on my master toon, invite the team with /invite then add team members in EMA (on the Team tab I click the three person icons with the +, I dont touch the Group List or iSBoxer tabs..maybe that's the issue as I do use isboxer?)... and then set all my settings on my master, and when I "push all settings" from the News tab, it doesn't push to anyone. I am sure it is a simple thing I am missing.... Thank you

The way I did this is:

1. Bring up the /ema config UI on all of them and show the Team page.
2. Turn on broadcasting (mouse+kb)
3. click the "add party to team list" button (like you did on your main)
4. type "/ema-team master born"

They should all now show your main as the master. Then you can push settings from born to catch all the other tweaks and you should be set.

There is the "item use" feature, dunno if you tried it: you can create many buttons/slots, then move it where you want on your main. The location can be mirrored on your slaves. Then you can assign a keybind to each (should be editable in its own section in the ingame keybinds). Then, when you drop a item into a slot on f.ex your main, if any slave has it too, it will appear on their bar/slot aswell. Then press the keybind and they will "use" that item aswell. Im not 100 % sure equiping a item would work, but its worth a shot.

Personally i use the feature to use quest items, food etcetc: basically anything that can be used, but not often enough that you want or can have it as a permanent keybind. Which is why i only use 1 slot, but its handy to have.

You could always accept a quest on your main and then share it by pressing the "share" button in your questlog, if the slaves are in the same party/raidgroup as you. But usually they will be ineligable, as they need to be at the same stage of the questline in order to accept it. So you might as well just make it a habbit of having them also talk to questgivers.

The EMA addon has some handy features, like "slaves auto accepts escort quest" etc. You might wanna investigate those settings.

Jamba is on "end of life" so only core or easy fixes it will die in the end. No classic support.

EMA I get updated a lot more or though I have been lacking but I have done a lot for shadowlands already with quest watcher and other things. And hopefully will be support for both release and bc when they gets added

The system is working by defining groups and then set those groups ito do the intended action.

Below is an example for setting up to trade cloth (runecloth, mageweave etc.) to specific characters.
The same steps are required for any other actions involving selling or buying items.
You may also use the predefined groups, though it can get a mess if you are running different teams.

1. Create a group in the team setting (here I call it "_clothie"):

2. Add at least 1 character to that group, using the team menu:

3. Now you have to add items to that group:

Click into the "Item" field, then shift+click the item in your inventory you want to add
Select the group on the right the item should be added to
Click Add

The above list will start to populate; don't forget to tick the "trade items" checkbox on top.


4. Go back to the "News" section and push all settings to the toons.

Now when you open up a trade window with the character(s) you define, all other characters will start automatically adding the items.
In the example above, all toons will start trading Runecloth to Koraz, if you open up a trade window.

Sometimes you have to close and re-open up the EMA window or even completely /reload the UI.

I want to start off by saying I really love the addon. My question concerns Mythic+ tracking, with the blizzard quest tracker disabled you lose the timer when doing a Mythic+. Is there anyway to give an option to allow just that part to show or maybe there is a way to keybind unchecking the hide blizzard tracker and disable the EMA one?

i use a addon that shows the timmer in a better was that works fine with ema tracker

The Team > ISBoxer option has a scary red warning that some parts of EMA are not supported when using this option. Is there a list of which parts are not supported?

Ignore the ISboxer sync function on EMA.
Just invite your toons to your party and use the "add all party members to team" button in the group list.

It does work, regardless of the way you add your team.

Once you added your team to EMA, you can enable the "auto-accept" [different things] from team.
You do not need the 'sync with ISBoxer" feature for that.

dynamicboxer will auto sync your team to ema btw (and invite in window order)

I think the key bit missing there is, you form a raid/party with all your toons and "add all party/raid members to team" ONCE, from then on the toons all know to look for each other

Is there an easy way to have multiple teams use the same EMA settings, except for the team list? Profiles include the team list so they don't seem to be the solution.

Just create a profile with all the settings you want, then simply duplicate that profile where the only change are the team members.
That's what are profiles for.

Every time I change a setting I will have to go through that process again. For me it defeats the purpose of profiles.

What's wrong with just having all your characters in the team list?

There is always the possibility to make an ISBoxer enhanced wow macro similar to the /invite team in game helpers. Maybe you have to run it on all chars.

Ran into an interesting issue on one of my groups. This group has had a few characters swapped around so not sure if that is the cause, but every time I go to use a flight point 2 of my characters immediately tell me they can't fly to that flight point. If I swap to one of them and choose the same place the other 2 will then fly there no problem. Was wondering if anyone has seen this problem and can direct me how to fix it.

ya phaseing fightpoints in BFA have a new ID so there noway the clones would know where to "go" if they not done the phase, it would be really hard to do it from name nerver had this problem before BFA but blizzzard added FP with new fightmasters then keep the old one (copy)on the phase who knows why.
