I originally set up my three boxing using my older computer just to see how I like it. Today I went and bought a new computer and an additional 22" monitor in hopes of being able to run my main character on one monitor and split the screen on the second monitor for the other two. Once I got the machine hooked up and started I could not figure out how to enable the second monitor. There is no selection for dual monitors in the control panel, even though there are instructions on how to do it in the help file. I verified I had the latest video drivers and windows updates.

I did a search to see if others were able to get their multi-monitor systems to work with vista and it seems they have. Do I have a driver issue or am I just missing something? Any help will be appreciated.

The System:
CPU: Intel E8400
Motherboard: Asus P5NT Deluxe Nforce 780I
RAM: 4 GB
Video: Geforce 8800 GTS 512MB x2 (SLI configuration)
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium

howdy Tsumi,

i believe this will work:

right-click the desktop/ properties/ settings/ advanced/ GeForce 8800 GTS/ nView Display Settings

you should see both monitors there with the ability to select your viewing option (dual view or horizontal span)

I pretty much did that already.

The steps are a bit different but what I come to is the NVIDIA Control Panel and under display I am able to select "Set up Multiple Displays". The only option I have in the setup is, "Only use one display (single)" and no other options for other displays. I am able to swap the monitor by selecting the other monitor as the one I want to use so I know they are both being detected by the computer. Even the tool tip on the page is telling me that I can select "clone" or "Dualview" but they are not selectable.

Remove the SLI link. You can only use 1 monitor in SLI.
