Full details available on your local Battle.net shop. For me, in the US it's $20 off BFA and 30% off realm/faction/race changes. https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/family/world-of-warcraft
Of note, buying BFA is a cheaper than buying boosts. It is repeatable as many times as desired (start a new team or two)
The process is
Create a Starter Account from account management ( https://account.blizzard.com/games )
Buy BFA and select the starter account to apply the expansion. Boost is available on any account.
Do NOT add game time or sub when it asks.
Delete Starter Account with an automated ticket ( https://battle.net/support/help/product/wow/181/878/solution )
If for whatever reason you accidentally add game time or sub, GMs can remove the accounts with a regular ticket, but you likely will have more hassle/time involved.

Now, if I could pay $30 to get the total character limit boosted to 75 or 100... then we'd be talking!

I just want to point out that this sale is live until the very end of the month (https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/22927092/save-on-world-of-warcraft-and-select-game-services), which is a first for Blizzard when it comes to a sales on services, and they must really be hoping to take advantage of transfers to those new allied races.

Or just hoping to push their quarterly numbers which was my first thought. Problem is if they have too many sales, people will stop buying at the regular price unless it's a really urgent matter. Then again, that allows Blizzard to nicely implement price discrimination and capture more consumer surplus as profits.

If anyone needed that last minute reminder, today is the final day of the sale, at least for those with NA accounts.

moved 35 characters. Bit of a pain and cost a ton of gold but nice to have all one one server

Assuming this sale will come back at some point, do I need a WoW account slot available on the bnet account? I'm doing the RaF thing, and deciding how many WoWs to add to each bnet (well, mostly need to know if I can put 7 new accounts onto my main bnet, and still use this method.)
Thanks.

I'm locking this thread so that people don't think that there's a new sale. Please ask new questions in new threads.
