Ok i got my system in. 8 gigs mem. intel q6600 pros. 500g hd. 8600gt card. so far runs sweet. I got a 22in monitor, and i got my old 19inch hooked up also. both shows the vista background. and my mouse will move to the 19 as well. but like i tried to move a box over there and couldnt. , Also notice when i played battlefield the 19 would get about a 3 inch dark border around it and if i clicked on it . would send the game to the background. anyway thanks for imput . its always apreciated.

I had visions of monitors fighting when I read the title...ho hum.
I haven't seen this sort of problem since the days of yore when dual head was a new technology and matrox a viable gaming card ;) In those days it was down to the fact that there would be an inadequate RAMCDAC on the 2nd port... suitable for 2D display but not 3D Accelerated.
Unfortunately I don't know vista from adam so can't offer more useful information.

You are playing full screen on battlefield, and it's resizing your desktop to match the games settings (hence border on the 19").

Ahh thank you. For some reason i thought the internet explorer would work on other monitor also. but guess not. I can drag my program boxes and icons there now. thxIt will work, you just have to grab the window by the top and drag it over to the other monitor. I love doing this with my setup. I have the exact same setup as you... 22" wide main screen, older 19" LCD for the other.

I just set up 2 monitors and had a similar problem - if the window is maximised on 1 screen it wont drag, if you 'unmaximise/resize' the window it will drag
