Did Xzin ever 40man molten core?

Awhile ago(1-2 years ago) Xzin said he wanted to 40man molten core, controlling a 40man mage raid all by himself. Did he ever do it?

nah, i asked him on irc a week or so ago and he never got around to it from what he said.

Id like to se it but its hard to get 40 ppl to lone you your caracter or lvl 40 guys to lvl 60/70/80 or whatever.

Still gota love the thougt of 40x lvl80 frost mages on raggy, id give him around what 22 to 38 secconds max :P

I came REALLY close to doing it. I still have the monitors. But in the end, the class mix (mostly warriors) and fact that TBC was coming around the corner (and 25 man raids were the new norm) lead me to not take it to completion. I did theorycraft the hell out if it though and maintain it is still possible.

In the end though, I focused instead on 10 boxing and PvP.

Which isn't possible. :p Maybe they killed a surger tho.

Altho, I 2 manned Garr the other day! (Well, technically 5 man, I was 4x 68, and was with a warrior tank. :P )

But most bosses are not kitable, require lots of healing, dispelling, decursing, etc, etc. Garr just happens to be the easiest boss to a group that's low on numbers. (I know a tier 6 equipped warrior tank that solo'd Garr with a few potions. >.< )

Like, Gehennas, the third boss. Drops a hurtful reign of fire on a random person in the raid. Only with 5 people? You'll need some very good healers to keep healing through that! xP

You need a diverse raid, and quite a few fights you need quantity over quality. After all, it was designed for 40 people. Some of the abilities you face, are still too overpowered for a group of five. Even level 70's, let alone 60's. :P
