Hello to everyone,

I've started multiboxing at Cata, ended after a while, played solo - but now I'm starting to do more multiboxing.
Now I'm playing protpala+3x ele+ restro (I'm loving ele since bc and it seemes to be the eastiest kombi to handle for me).

Quick question about ground target aoe
I found MiRai's YouTube guide.
I've done everything as is it explained but it does not work (probably I've not done everything as it is explained but I do not find my mistake)

What I want to do:
- use "Totem der Energiespeicherung" (I'm playing the german client ;-)

What I've done up to now:
- set "action target group" (seems to work)
- set "set view macro (seems to work) (F1)
- set "macro "/wirken [@cursor] Totem der Energiespeicherung" (seems to work) (ALT+4)
- set combat broadcast
---> hotkey = Alt+4 (pressed or realesed), also configuered ingame
---> step 1 macro set view (all /w current)
---> step 2.1 sync cursor (all /w current)
---> step 2.2 macro "/wirken [@cursor] Totem der Energiespeicherung"

What WOW does:
- execute macor "set view" (indepent whether actions target group or all/w current is used or not)
- execute Alt+4 (Totem)

What it not does:
- it seems that the click to put the Totem on ground does only be received by the activated display.

Thanky for your efforts

Goswin (Der Rat von Dalaran)

From your description you aren't sending a Mouse1 to all the windows that should be placing the totem ? i.e. you sync the cursors, but never send a "click".

This would be done via a Keystroke Action for what you've described.

The other option would be to use a Send Next Click Action, if you happened to want to use VideoFX to see where the recipient (make sure there is only one at a time if you use this) is going to place their totem.

/e
Turns out I don't know stuff....... apparently @cursor should take care of it.
Which really only leaves the Target of your macro. or something else in your profile. Like maybe the character set is not assigned to the Macro Set.

So, this macro works when you create it in game and try to use it?

/wirken [@cursor] Totem der Energiespeicherung

yes, it works and this hint showed me my fault - I did not create this macro in wow, only in is boxer.
I placed this Totem without macro on "ALT 4" ingame.

Thank you so much!

You only have to create the macro in one spot—either in ISBoxer, or in game, but not both. What my next question was going to be was... did you already bind Alt+4 in game? If so, then that was your problem, since you can't bind multiple things (macros, action bar buttons, etc.) to the same key.

EDIT: I see that the answer to my second question was "yes," and I missed that in your original post.
