PIP Issue

Hey there,

i've been lurking these forums for quite some time now, found all the anwsers usualy by myself, yet the solution for my current problem i was unable to find.
I am 5boxing on 1 PC with 2 monitors, all good until I have to change the screens with the PIP.


So i press the shourcut buttons, the screen switches but it doenst send the keys to the currently "main" window. I am not sending W A S D to any windows except to the main window, but when the main dies and i switch, it should send the keys to the new main window. Is there any way for me to do this ? Cuz even if the main doesnt die and i want to do a part of the quest with an another char and change the main it will not send the keys to the new main, only the "old" now switched main moves around.

G'afternoon xlllu and welcome to the forums!

when your main dies, do the following:

1. hit the 'suspend' hotkey (not set by default... check under setup/override settings)
2. hit the PiP swap hotkey for the desired alt
(alt should now be in place of the main... and the dead main is in the alts place)
3. click on the newly arrived alt window (this is to just make sure you have input in that window)
4. hit your 'set focus to me' button for the alt you just pulled in (some people make this the same as the PiP hotkey)
5. seek revenge

will u be adding something like autochange where keys go in one of your next versions ?
like.. u add in pip something like mainwindow=hwnd and if that changes the keys where sendmessage sends the key changes too ? or something :)

as you saying you'd like the keys to continue to be sent into the dead alts window? why?
just 'suspend' that window and it won't send nor receive keys to/from other alts until you un-suspend it.
then just pip swap it and forget about it until you have a chance to deal with it

isn't that what you need to do? please explain

hmm ok let me try to explain what i ment, maybe i expressed it wrong :)



anyway, when main dies, i just wanna swtich the window and be able to control the new main as main without pressing the susspend key.. so i said if you were adding something like that in your new version
which would look something like this: dont send keys to any windows except in main if they are on the do-not-send list, when u change from alt to main the new main has a new hwnd, so now u just make the program stop sending the keys to the old hwnd and starts sending to the new one.. it wouldnt actually "have" a new hwnd it would just be the alt window which is a main now :) and the main would become alt

but to be honest i really dont care if i still send keys to the "dead" char as long as the new main window accepts the keys
which at the moment it kinda doenst, so when i die and change the main even with susspend it keeps not sending the keys to the new main

first... keyclone has no concept of a 'main' window. there is the active window and then all others.

if you change the active window, the DNP will still be in effect. are you saying you'd like a different DNP per window?
anyhow... if you change windows... the keys that use to NOT pass from your main... will now NOT pass from the new window.

(am i missing something here?)

:) ok guess i confused everyone

the issue i am having is, that if i change main window, the keys on do-not-pass are still not passing to the new window .. they are still getting passed to the old window, which is not active at the moment

example:

1 = main
2 = alt

i change it...

2 = main now
1 = alt

keys get passed to 1 still but not to 2

well.. the do-not-pass does work as described... a thought.. sometimes on a pip swap the focus coudl stay with t he old window... try your pip swap, then click on the new main (2).. then hit the keys, see if that helps
