hey guys another new mb user here.

ive just started a warrior and a shaman(more than likey not the most uber duo i could have picked but ive never tried the classes)

but i have a question.

how do i get my two toons closer together??? is it possible with key clone or do i use something else to achieve this???(ive seen a clip of muliboxing on youtube where the toons are all on top of each other)

hope you can help :D

The clip you saw probably had a person 4-5 boxing. The main character is separated from the "alts" that are all on /follow to the main. Since they are all following the same person, it makes them look like they're on top of each other. If you're 2 boxing, you will never be following on top of each other. You should have a key bound to your shaman that moves in any direction to break follow though... once the warrior charges, you don't want your shammy walking up to the mob.

If you are enhancement spec shaman and dps warrior, then use your enhancement as your main and just abuse the charge function on your warrior to get in range. :p

But on topic. You should also realise there is a bit of server lag between clients. Ingame they might look further apart then to anyone else ingame.

Also, if you do a dance macro on both, it will probably not look in sync for you, but it will to everyone else, since they experience both your clients with the server lag. Whilest you only experience one of the characters on a screen with server lag.

From the most I've read here, most groups are made of 1 melee and then x number of casters/healer. If you are Duo'ing a Warrior and Shammy, I suggest your shammy goes caster/healer and justs keeps away from the warrior as much as possible tbh. What I think you are trying to do is have your shammy melee the target too which is ok if thats what you want, however you are going to run into a load of problems with things.

You can't get any closer on the follow command than default. You would have to assign a key to nudge you forward into melee range after the warrior charge, you could combine a warrior skill that you use after charging to your shamans forward key (or alternate forward key) so that your skill sequence would be,

Warrior: Select Target, get to distance, CHARGE!
Shammy: Trondle up behind.
Warrior: Sunder Armor (Shaman) Forward
Shammy + Warrior: PWNAGE!

If that made sense to you, cool, if not, great because my work mates are like wtf too.

I highly suggest ot make things easier for yourself, to put your shaman as caster/healer buddy and duo it that way, would make things a load easier for you. If you did that, your sequence would be much simpler:

Warrior: Charge etc etc as before.
Shaman: As before.
Warrior: Sunder Sunder, same key for shaman - cast sequence of Shock and Bolts.
Shammy + Warrior: Same as above but much easier.

:) Hope that helps.

i have tried using the shammy as my main but trying to have full control of the tank is tricky.maybe i need more practice

You'll be refining your setup clear from 1 to 70, and probably beyond. I ran a WC instance over the weekend, and while my setup was doing fine for running around and leveling, I found a lot that helped me refine my setup for actual instance running. Don't ever try to fool yourself into thinking you're going to get everything setup within a small amount of time and just go :)
