I have 5box team with about a total of 600 gold TOTAL for my team. My Paladin has the war horse, but the 4x shammy have still ghost wolf. All chars are now vl 53.

So I can afford to get the 4 of them a lv 40 mount, but I think the lv 60 mount is about 600g each???

What did you all do for gold and should I go for a lv 40 mount and use that in outlands or just stick with ghost wolf for another 10 levels? Gosh I hate being p00r. :)

Simply put, stick to quest rewards for gear, and sell loot (cloth!) at the AH. It helps to have one character to disenchant items. Mining is also lucrative.

Rule #1: NEVER buy gear from the AH.
Rule #2: Always loot grays, they add up.
Rule #3: Try not to start a crafting profession until post-60, it gets easier then.

Are you selling all your cloth? Buy your shamans the lvl 40 mounts. I'm at lvl 62 and I'm still a ways away from getting my epic ground mounts. Alot of multiboxers get them aroune 64-65.

I farmed LBRS a lot. I got my four mounts from that. :p Upto Lbrs I spend so much on training and stuff, my gold amount wasn't growing much. Then when I leveled in lbrs, got so many blue boe's which sold for 10-20 gold easily. And two epic patterns which sold a lot on my server. (RP purposes, was the robe of the archmage x2).

I dinged 60 yesterday and they're all riding their Great White Kodo's :D

I made my epic land mount gold by selling level 60 enchanting mats -- they sell for a ton, especially illusion dust and greater eternal essences. If you run BRD/LBRS/Scholo from level 50-58 and disenchant everything you'll probably end up with 1k-2k gold easy from disenchants.

The level 70 regular flying mounts came a few days after I hit level 70. I saved the quests in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon valley to get gold rather than xp.

If you're on a battlegroup in which your faction wins a lot of their 51-60 AV, be sure to take a break to enjoy some pvp. Those AV tokens can add up quickly and save you the extra gold for buying the mount. That way you only have to buy the training.

The time in AV isn't worth the time lost in leveling (IMO). I did 3-4 AV's before I dinged 61 just to check it out, but certainly not to get my epic ground mount.

As long as you do 1 and 2, you can actually start doing 3 with drops and disenchanting the greens/blues/BoPs you get and be fine as long as you don't go spending money on mats.

My current pally+4 mages group has NEVER sold a single green on the AH. I disenchanted them all for mats to get enchanting up so I could d/e BoPs. Even he has almost 1000g at 70 (I spent some bank savings on epic mounts so they didn't pay for those themselves). The other 4 chars all have over 1500g each. And I always send my AH stuff to a mule to sell, so they have effectively sold nothing on the AH at all (though my bank alt does have about 1500g on him from that).

In short, I'm amazed that you're poor. I have enough to buy basic flying mounts at 70 without even trying very hard.

No i have not sold the cloth I have gotten. I used it all for leveling tailoring on 2 of the 5 box and for working my first aid up on the main tank. The others do not have first aid trained yet ;(

I took tailoring for the money at 70. The tank has mining and jewelcrafting and the others all have leather working. Only one has leather working up to about 180 now. Finally the one has enchanting and that is going well but I did not sell any comps yet. Maybe it is time to sell if I do not need them .

The auction house is the gateway to more gold than you will ever need...

Am i missing something here? both my 70s are tailors and i cant see how to really make any $$$ out of it at all - I did it for the BoP epix

Bags, Primal Mooncloth / Spellcloth / Shadowcloth, Spellthread are good sellers on the AH. The Imbued Netherweave pieces usually sell well too.

Unless you have a specific reason to level a crafting profession don't bother. I did level one of my shammies lw for the drums and an enchanter to de. I have a miner, flower picker(different characters so you can track both) and a skinner. You should make alot more gold farming then you do crafting.

Apart from Engineering, I levelled professions from the point of being self sufficient - i.e. I wanted to buy as little as possible from the AH, and from the point of maximising the value from raw mats I farmed. Being able to craft my own items has saved & made me a lot of gold over the course of playing my toons. Especially in terms of gems, bags, enchants & armor kits.

#1 Buying gear will make you go broke so quick you wont be able to fly back out of town
I think of the AH as one of those "Blue Screen commercials you see on TV, you know only 19.95) I end up regretting everything I buy on AH
#2 I loot everything! Till all 5 of my accounts bags are full, then I go sell, repeat.
#3 Don't craft, gather! Skinning, Herb, Mining... They all sell good-great depending on your servers economy. Always undersell the best you can and don't be greedy! When heavy leather is going for 1g 60s on my server I sell 1g 40s or lower, sells with in minutes. Also another tip on selling gathered items, you don't always have to sell... wait a while and watch the AH to see if there is a demand for something and sell it high, and keep your gathered items when demeand is lower (simple economics :P )

The only crafting I learned was Enchanting to sell shards and all the fun stuff, and tailoring because I started on a new server so I had to start with zero bags.
