View Full Version : Is Dual-Boxing or Triple-Boxing Better in BFA?

I'm coming back to try BFA, and I'm trying to decide between dual-boxing and triple-boxing. If I'm just going to be doing some world quests, old raid farming and gold griding, is there any benefit to triple-boxing or would two characters be able to handle just about anything in the world?
I'm hoping some people who have experienced BFA end game can let me know and if I'm missing any benefits to triple-boxing.

You'd be missing out on the ability to farm Island Expeditions yourself.

I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't go with 3 if you already have 2, aside from having a PC that would barely run 2 as is.

I am in the same boat. What class compositions are you thinking about running? 2/3x same toon or mixed? Tank/healer/DPS or 3x DPS?
What are your plans. I'd like to see what you're considering as well.
I currently have Blood DK/Resto Druid, but am considering adding in a DPS, but then I have a bunch of different classes.

I hadn't thought of island expeditions. Are they worth farming?

I was thinking of three potential groups: priest and two warlocks, shaman and two hunters, and priest and two warriors, while driving from the healer (I've always played a healer and it feels more natural that way).
I've tried the multi classes before and it gets to be a bit of a pain, especially trying to activate the big abilities not included in lazy macros. I like having uniform classes outside my main so when I use charge or defensive abilities, it activates on both of the other classes. But it all depends how much work you want to put into it I guess.

Ive been buying services from 3 different demonhunters lately, who boost 2 toons at a time each, thru these 3 man islands. As i cant be bothered to level anymore myself. I need more hunters! ;)
I dont have to do anything, just stand there afk at the start.
They are lvl 110, the boosters.
To make things easy to rememeber, its around 12 runs per level, each taking around 5-8 minutes. And i pay 2,5k gold per character, so 5k per island clear. But i just pay them in advance, for the entire lvling at the start, 110-120, so we dont have to bother about trading the smaller amounts here and there. That takes time afterall.
If possible i would suggest creating a DH yourself and you can use it to boost your own characters even. I would also def recommend having 3 accounts. Who knows, maybe you will become a booster too one day and sell runs for gold hehe. You basically just ride around the island gathering up packs and aoeing them down, then grabbing up any azerite clusters along the way. After learning the different routes for each island, you could maybe "watch movies at the same time" even. And make some gold.

Its around 300k per character, from 110-120, though i always give some extra "tip" at the end for the service, so 500k per character all in all.
I get 2 boosted at the same time from each guy = 1 mill gold.
(x 3 boosters = 3 mill for 6 characters boosted).
Island boosting = awesome.

WHY DHs? I'm guessing Veng spec? I personally find that I make a lot of money leveling up via quests. By the time I'm 110 I have made a million gold with drops+DEing stuff. But I understand the desire to skip all that and just get PLd.

All the ones that are helping me are "havoc", the dps spec. They dont loose any noticable health, so seems its not too bad.
