So, my girls (5 shamans) are 61 and I decided to venture into Ramparts. The trash was pretty cake.
As I rolled to the first boss, I had forgotten what he actually did. I didnt bother to look it up, so I winged it. I killed the 1st priest before the group got to me, and got the 2nd down pretty quick. Then, he knocked back one of my guys and focused on him. He hits shammies pretty hard. I wiped 6 times and gave up. How do you 5-shammy groups handle situations like this. Do you have individual keys to heal a character? Do you try to "tank" the boss with 1 shammy frostshocking?

Hey there,
Well I ran it at level 60 with only 4 shamans, so this tactic should work.
Get keys to heal. Bind those keys per guy, on all 3 guys. Example: At any moment you should be able to make A, heal C, or AB heal C, or all 3, etc.
Then pick a sham to be your tank. Have him take the brunt and just span heal with 1 guy, while other 3 DPS. If needed, have the a second guy heal.
It is really easy IMO. But as you start to reach higher levels you will soon realize why the 1xpally 4xshaman team shines. Having a prot pally to tank makes things sooo much easier!

Well I did this at 62 with my 5 shamans.
Basically my setup for healing is I have lesser healing wave on focus bound to Shfit + Space. I also can do a 5X group heal if needed, but not needed for this fight.
Ok I like to set up at max range, pulling from max range you should have time to kill both adds before the trio reaches you, that makes it easier.
Then I just spam lightning bolt on the main, watching who has aggro, as soon as they get half cast lesser heal wave on him with all guys (makes it easy with just pressing shift +space), then go right back to dpsing with LB.
Using this strat I have never wiped to him, worst I did was lose one shaman.

I don't mean to ressurect my own thread (especially since I havent been able to try the 1st boss again yet), but I read over at www.twentytotems.com that When he ran it, he laid down his totems (including stoneclaws), stepped back a few yards and started to DPS the 1st healer. He killed the first healer, and when the boss got to his mass of totems, the boss went for the totems instead of him! He burned down the healer, got 1 salvo of Lightning Bolts off on the boss, and he came after him finally. This seems like it could work pretty well. Anyone ever do this?

Yeah, that's pretty much how i did it. Started off with two lightning bolts on the first healer, laid down all 5 stoneclaw totems, backed up, finished the first healer, killed the second healer, dps's the boss down. Use my /cast [target=focustargettarget] lesser healing wave macro to keep my guys up and one shot him. Don't underestimate the usefulness of stoneclaw totems, 5 stacked together can keep two elite mobs cc'd for at least 10 seconds. Works well for boss adds and accidental pulls. I also use stoneclaw plus fire nova totems quite a bit for aoe grinding.

Hi Gallo,
I found the learning curve pretty steep in that same exact situation. My final strategy was this:
Drop all the totems, move the four toons back, make sure that the main character gets the first CL and one frostshock out on the boss. Then, basically DPS down the adds and the boss. Keep an eye on the main character and heal early enough with lesser healing wave. I have on button that heals the focus (main) with all characters.
Here's how I did it:

Hope this helps.

Ok, I have now beaten him 3 times (I lose 1-2 shammies in the process). It's ugly, but it works. I just made a set of macros for my numpad to heal each character separately. The macro makes it so 2 shammies heal the one taking damage, while the other 3 shoot Lightning Bolts on the mains target. Works pretty well.
Omar the Unscarred was laughable. I burned him down before he even released his felhound, didn't take any damage because of grounding totems, and still had 85% mana.
The Dragon, whooped my ass... just like every other person in here that boxed him for the first time. I think it's going to be really hard without an actual tank. I try to use frostshock to create more threat on one shaman, but I just can't seem to actually keep him up for more than 3 seconds.

The dragon is cake when you have 5 grounding totems. Please see my video for details.

Damn, your vid made it look easy. You know, when I did it the few times, I STARTED my group at the spot that you eventually "moved up" to. This caused the Orc to come running at me immediately after he landed... so I would have to kill him and the dragon would land and wreck my face.
I can't wait to try this tonight!
