Anyone running Locks 110+?
I'm thinking of doing: DK tank | Druid heals | 3x Affliction Locks
Curious if anyone else has ran 3x Affliction with any success?

I'm levelling 5x aff locks at the moment, haven't had any issues in dungeons so far. Will update once I get to heroics and mythics.

Yea, I don't plan on stacking 5x dps ever.
5x Prot
5x DK
Is basically where I do the 5x comps

I'm running BDK + RSHM + DLOCK * 3.
It's great damage and their burst is insane but managing their AoE is not fun. I loved Howl of Terror and really wished the talent options allowed for it to replace shadowfury which I'm not a fan of. I'm still working on a solution for rain of fire but I've got some ideas that might work. Nothing final yet.
It's a very strong comp due to round robin fears. You can (and should) lock down those annoying mobs very easily with fear > stun > fear cycles. The infernal stun is also clutch and shadowfury isn't bad if needed in a pinch. Overall though I felt Howl of Terror was far better to protect the shaman.
Just to give you an idea of DLOCKs at 300 ilvl I've seen burst as high as 18k and 1 minute averages of 6k single target. It's going to be glorious at 350.

One of my mixed caster teams has a Destro lock and I do /cast [@player] Rain of Fire
I haven't spun up a 3x warlock group yet, but it's on the list lol

Boosted 3 locks to run around with my DK/DRU and it's pretty hilarious.
Stack Dots > Death Bolt > Pop Minion CD... boss dies in a few seconds.

I’m intrigued. How are you managing this in a mixed team environment? Do you have everything set to a single macro? I looked up some Warlock macros to use with GSE, but it seemed like you have to do alt keys for any kind of efficiency. I’ve always been more of a fan of setting everything to a single button and just mash away.

I basically use press 1 = spam CTRL + 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 and pres 2 = spam ALT + 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0
Then I setup a combination of macros / strategic placement of spells for priority like rotations.
I use this setup for all my groups, I make the press 1 for AOE and press 2 for single target DPS. Then I mouse heal with the healer.
Then major cooldowns I have on their own button. (Major cooldown to me = 3min CD / DPS CDs)

Destro. Demo has no burst at all. Of the three Demo has the highest ramp up in damage.

I'm currently running 5x affli locks at 120 and approx 295 iLVL.
The odd thing is that at around lvl 115 I did the Motherlode on normal and after a few attempts I managed to clear the instance, no real problems voids tanking, locks DPS'ing away. Now at 120 I can't even get past the first boss. Problem is that my voidwalkers can't hold the aggro and need so much healing. So I could hold off on DPS but then I'm health funneling him and generating threat that way.
I'm curious if it's the lvl scaling doing this or that maybe the voidwalkers ( and 2 voidlords ) aren't scaling with the iLVL of the characters ( ie total hp, threat generation ).
DPS wise I think there is no real problem hence why I pull the boss from the tanks. It seems to be something with the voidwalkers
Probably undergeared for the dungeons so I’ll go do some wq’s for higher gear.

100% a gear issue, get those world quests and warfronts gear going then have another crack mate!!

There is also a power gap from 115-120, most classes get weaker with how the scaling works. The Ilvl gearing up will definitely help and also with the way the dungeons and difficulty is designed this expansion they seem to have more health/mechanics than previously, so some comps without a real tank suffer greatly.

That's good to know as I tend to lag behind on gear.
