The Elo Army (portions of) take on Karazhan

I got invited along to a regular guild run of kara. Was going to just take 1 toon for gear but had trouble finding a 10th, so Eloshama (heals) and Eloshamc (elemental) entered the fray together. We cleared the entire instance swapping out my extras as people came and left. Every boss was one shotted, here's the run down.

Attumen - Eloshama, Eloshamc, warrior tank, bear, tree, tree, mage, warlock, enhance shammy, other - total cake (2 of 5 elo's)

Moreos - Eloshamc, warrior tank, bear, tree, tree, mage, warlock, holy priest, enchance shammy, hunter - total cake (1 of 5 elo's)

Maiden - Eloshamc, warrior tank, bear, tree, tree, mage, warlock, holy priest, enhance shammy, hunter - total cake (1 of 5 elo's)

Nightbane - Eloshama, Eloshamc, warrior tank, bear, tree, tree, mage, warlock, enhance shammy, hunter- fairly tough Eloshama died twice (2 of 5 elo's)

Curator - Eloshama, Eloshamc, bear, fury warrior, tree, tree, mage, enchance shammy, enchance shammy, hunter- total cake (2 of 5 elo's)

Illhoof - Eloshama, Eloshamc, bear, fury warrior, tree, tree, mage, enhance shammy, enhance shammy, hunter - tore him UP, note the lack of a warlock (2 of 5 elo's)

Shade - Eloshama, Eloshamc, bear, fury warrior, tree, tree, mage, enhance shammy, enhance shammy, hunter - somewhat tough, no deaths though (2 of 5 elo's)

Chess - blah, allways cake, amirite? (2 of 5 elo's)

Prince - Eloshama, Eloshamc, bear, fury warrior, tree, tree, mage, enhance shammy, enhance shammy, hunter - a litle tricky but never missed an enfeeble (2 of 5 elo's)

(an enhancement shammy had to leave, group didn't want to wait for another so Eloshamb (elemental) makes her first appearance)

Nightbane - Eloshama, Eloshamb, Eloshamc, bear, fury warrior, tree, tree, mage, enhance shammy, hunter - quite tough, C & B died to void, reincarnate FTW (3 of 5 elo's)

All and all it was exhilerating and exhausting at the same time. I did earn a lot of respect though from my guild mates (who generally tease me until they need help with a quest). They've all agreed they'll take my crew anytime and we'll eventually do a 5 Elo + 5 other run. I've got a screenshot of the 3 some standing in front of Netherspite's corpse that I'll try and post later tonight.

One thing I would like to point out though is that the guildies that came were VERY well geared and really carried the fights from a DPS perspective. I did manage to outheal one of the tree's though (but then again that was my main screen and my old main was a priest). On the flip side the mage and 2nd tree were poorly geared (1-2 purples) so it wasn't like I was the only one behind the curve. The real positives I look at is that I successfully handles the mechanics of each (focused on correct targets, didn't die to flame wreath/enfeeble/etc. (ok one void spawn but meh)) so very exciting. Plus I got that healer shield for my resto, W00t!

Excellent! Did you find it difficult to perform two jobs in the instance (healing + dps) or did you pretty much just set the boss as the focus target and mash a dps button while you concentrated on healing? I'm looking to take my team into Kara if I can find a good, open-minded guild, although I plan to pull out some guys as situations dictate (Obviously tanking + healing + dps would make it difficult to perform well)

2 jobs really wasn't hard for me, provided that healer was on my main so that I could use healbot (click healing). Particularly with the resto shammy (3 heals, no decurse/dispell). I actually have my shammy /assist my main rather than focus so I just targetted the appropriate mob with Resto then click healed. I do need to work on maximizing DPS but the real focus of this attempt was just not to F up. I only used one target macro which was for the demon chains and it worked like a champ. The astrals from curator were easy enough to just click target as they came out. The hardest fight was Netherspite and that was because of the beams. Nightbane was a little troublesome but mainly because my stupid game was not displaying the charred earth so I'd heal through the dmg a couple of times before I realized what was happening.

Grats elo, glad you had a good time. Once I have my hunters up and my others I hope to be able to join my guild runs. :)
