To try and stimulate some discussion of trinity comp strategies, here are my notes from my initial Mythic +0 run of Waycrest manor. I use a blood dk/resto druid/BM Hunterx3 composition.
This is horrible, and is going to kill many, many keys during the expansion. The trash is nasty all the way through, including the toughest trash pack in the game right at the very beginning. The second boss is a multiboxers worst nightmare, an even worse version of Yalnu from WoD.
Trash before Elder Leaxa: I really don't have a nailed down strategy for this yet. You have a choice to either go left or right: Right is easier, marginally, but the trash packs on the platforms are a nightmare either way. The masks do huge damage in a small aoe, the casters need to be interrupted, the big creatures have an uninterruptable war cry that makes everybody hit like a truck... I don't have a strategy for this other than to spread out at the start of the bridge, CC as much as I can and pull whats left, healing through the mask's damage. It usually goes wrong, and I have to have multiple attempts.
Elder Leaxa: Lulling you into a false sense of security, we have the easiest mythic dungeon boss in the game to multibox in the hardest dungeon in the game to multibox. Just have everybody follow the tank and sidestep when she uses, like, ANY of her abilities. When she spawns the blood mirror, kill it. Or don't, frankly, it doesn't make the damage output of the boss higher than that of the trash you just killed.
Trash after Elder Leaxa: I happily pull this in groups, but only pull one of the flower mobs. The stun disease they cast MUST be interrupted, and its difficult to pick them out individually. This, of course, means skipping the patrolling pack of several of them just outside the bosses room.
Cragmaw the Infested: Worst boss to multibox, period. Everything is very manageable using some movement cooldowns to stomp down all the ticks that spawn on the charge and the indigestion cast... then the boss uses trample and theres way too many blood worms all over the place for one human being to coordinate. Those blood ticks are a nightmare: The dot on the tank is very quickly lethal if the number of blood ticks that will inevitably be spawned during the tantrum wail on him, and AoE bursting them all down is liable to get the entire party killed by the backlash damage. The only tidy solution is to stamp them before they spawn, and that's way to difficult to do with one human at the helm, unless somebody has a clever idea. I actually had to skip this guy first time round: you can just run around him and move on to the next boss in mythic +0. I had to come back after I'd done the full mythic clear, with bloodlust and nuke the boss down as quickly as possible before the ticks overwhelmed me, and even then it took five or six goes to get right;Obviously not a robust strategy for mythic plus.
I have a couple of ideas for how to manage this. One is to try and group then CC the blood ticks that spawn from tantrum (gorefiend's grasp + mass entangle). I suspect, at best, this only gives me about 30 seconds more time wailing on the boss, and it will be difficult to execute, but it might help. My better idea, I suspect, is to use azerite gear. If everybody in the party has the "Vampiric Speed" Trait in all three azerite slots,my hope is that it will counteract the damage from AoE killing all the ticks,so the ticks can simply be kited and AoEed after every tantrum. My initial experiment (only having the required gear in one slot) seems to suggest this will work, so I have hope that with some clever use of azerite this fight might become manageable, something that gives me a lot of faith in the whole azerite system.
Sporecaller Zancha: Another tricky to handle boss: The spores MUST be stamped, and there are a lot to deal with on mythic, and it requires a lot of coordination on the part of the multiboxer to handle correctly.Mercifully, my composition makes that easy: A bm hunter using aspect of the turtle and aspect of the beast can simple pop all of them 5-10 seconds before the boss reaches 100 energy, trivializing the fight. You only get to do this three times, but one or two should be plenty for the fight. Otherwise, have the party well spread out around the outside of the inner circle, to maximise the chances that characters are placed well for upheaval to pop some spores.
For the volatile pods ability, I have no ideas other than to have the team stay put and hope they get lucky in the storm of spores. It's never been the reason I've wiped so far, so I don't think its going to be too big a deal.
Unbound Abomination: Incredibly straightforward end to a nightmare dungeon. There's nothing stopping the party stacking up in this fight. In fact, it makes the fight significantly easier, to manage purge corruption. Just kite the boss around the outside of the area, pointing him towards to wall, and kill the blood visages that Hezrel doesn't get as they spawn. At the end, you'll be kiting around a huge number of spore pods, but they move so slowly its not a real problem.

For the second boss, what character do you drive with? Maybe if you drove from the healer you could use that char to stomp on the ticks before they spawn? I've only done it in normal so it might have more in mythic. I know he spawns a fair bit of them when he charges at the wall.
Only other thing I can think of is if you set up a macro for a conga line during the charge (drive from the tank, 1st slave follows the tank, 2nd follows the 1st, 3rd follows the 2nd, etc), swing round to face the boss then all strafe.

I have been using a monk healer (driving from there) and chi-torpedoing across to stomp out as many as I can, and without lust it's still a bitch.

My experience is on a 5x prot pala team, haven't tried switching one to healing, nor using 1 prot 4x ret. second boss could be easier with the ret damage.
Underrot
Trash you have to use CDS often on pulls, and you have to wait for CDs at times.
change magic bubble for pysical bubble for this dungeon. otherwise second boss is not doable.
- lexa
as tempting as it might be, don't CD on pull, and don't CD on her first clone spawn. wait until the second one. (two clones at once)
if you can survive with bubble ready and cds ready up to that point it should be easy.
- Cragmaw
pull him against a wall and have your alts taunt swap. use your main to step on the larvas. if you can bait his charge against a wall its easy to clean up. make sure you have bubble available. when he does tantrum blow cds and kill all the larvas buble only to drop the stacks, CD Kings to survive the explosions.
second tantrum use the wolf trink and ardent, have a macro that casts hand on the first 3 characters and hand of sacrifice from the bottom 2. this way you will lose 2 characters, and save 3. use second bubble to drop all stacks. with any luck he will die before 3rd tantrum.
did it on 320 ilvl, so its doable. but damn its tricky. took a couple of tries and could be a good idea to practice on heroic.
-sporecaller.
don't ignore mechanics, just do the fight focusing on minimizing damage from charge regardless of how many mushrooms you kill. spore storm can be cheesed if you run in a straight line, once you get the timing youll see that you take hits, but its WAY less than if you tried a more complex approach.
ignore the shrooms.
when he explodes all mushrooms, CDs to survive the explosion and lower boss damage (it does low damage anyway) and have you finger on the Cleanse button. you have to cleanse ALL stacks RIGHT before the first tick. otherwise they do like 200k damage per tick.
if you time it right, you take only explosive damage and no damage from the dot. repeat every time and collect loot.
-Unbound.
standard damage on boss. (remember that even when he takes no damage you still have to put some DPS on him to change phases and get healed with judgement) the slow moving spores die to stacked consecration and swirling hammers, so dont freak out when you see 100s of them around you. when he spawns the larger adds, blow CDS and do not ignore the add the NPC is killing. online guides tell you this, but just help him kill it. if hes killing the add hes not casting his cleanse and you could die to stacking damage.

Did the instance again this reset, much more manageable with extra ilvls (340 average atm, 333 last time) using the talent Last defender made the Cragmaw fight almost easy.
it has no upper limit, so about 30% of all damage was absorbed and i got a damage buff equally powerful (the talent has no diminishing returns anymore.)
pretty straight forward fight, pull, bait the charges against a wall, and use Blinding light to make a nice pile of bugs for the consecration/hammers meat grinder.
Just ignore the trash on the way to the first boss, I promise it gets better.

This is why it's weirdly easier sometimes on 10+ keys because you can skip the really bad trash such as the beginning there, and overall this was still a quick finish :) very nicely done!
I did 3 runs of this yesterday. This was probably my worst just with the bad start. I think I was 22 seconds off doing a +3 on my last run through.
Mythic Dungeon Tools string in next post.
There are a lot of pulls here. As I indicate in the video I try to focus on making small pulls. In this dungeon things can get out of control pretty quickly. It's not a very difficult/long dungeon, but if you lose control, a lot of time will get wasted and there aren't many opportunities for salvaging if you pull too much.
1 - AoE the ticks down as quickly as possible. I don't pull these with the matron. While they don't do bolstering, they do apply a dot when they die to the tank. I'd rather just not deal with the consequences of doing that wrong although I might play around further with pulling them with the matron. I do believe they apply bursting.
2 - Matron is easy. Pull in dependently, quickly dps her down. Keep ranged stacked, strafe ranged group to the side when she charges, make sure you don't run into the other ticks.
3 - This pack is easy. I typically will burn the priest ASAP with some AoE thrown in and deal with the bolstering. Interrupt G'huun. If G'huun gets off, make sure you dispell it. The bat is nice for this.
4 - For bolstering, I try not to immediately blow up the priest, but I do take it low, before moving onto the matron. In non bolstering, I'd blow up the priest. Again, strafe when the matron charges.
5 - Hardest pull in the dungeon in my opinion. 2 Matrons, a Befouled Spirit and a priest. Blow up the Befouled Spirit. BS casts a spell that will focus a player and deal splash damage. If you pull with the tank, it will always be on the tank first. Since there isn't much room to move and you will need to move your ranged away from the matrons when they charge, it's important to kill the BS before the second cast goes off.
6 - Boss is very easy. Kill the add when it pops, keep your tank in the middle of the platform, move your ranged team around the circle dodging the boss' abilities.
7 - Always blow up the Maggot first. The room is kind of tight at this point so dodging the spew can be difficult. The spew on higher keys will drop your team like a sack of potatoes. The ticks won't bolster, and the maggot WILL bolster the ticks, but I'd rather deal with the ticks than the maggot.
8 - Keep your ranged team moving for wave of decay. Moving as a group will control where it goes. Be sure not to pull the groups around it.
9-16: Typically organized groups will pull half this room and deal with the mechanics individually. While you can get away with doing SOME of that, the abilities like stun and the Bloodswarmers focusing individual characters makes this not a great idea. Bolstering also makes that strategy less appealing.
17: As I cover in the video, this is the hardest boss in this dungeon, and if I'm being honest, I don't think I handle the tick ability well at all. When he casts abilities: Charge, Indigestion, and Tantrum, he drops ticks. You can stomp them out, but after a period of time they will manifest into things you have to kill. He drops A LOT of them during Tantrum. It's important you stomp them out during charge and indigestion. It's also important when he charges you do not get hit by him. I typically will take one character (my healer or any other character with a movespeed boost), and stomp them out. When tantrum happens, I blow the boss up. I lust on this boss. Ideally the boss is at 20% when tantrum happens. If he is that low, and I've managed to not get any ticks prior to that, it's a win. Otherwise, I'm probably going to get overwhelmed by ticks during Tantrum. He also does a lot of groupwide damage during tantrum. Personal defensive cooldowns are good here. I don't turtle because that's a dps loss. I DO cast Exhilaration to keep hunters topped off, and I will pop defensives on the tank and MD the ticks to the tank to keep it as clean as I can.
18: I typically just focus the Deathspeaker and do some AoE dps. You can dispell the bone shield. This group probably won't kill you, but they will slow you down.
19: Kill the worm, interrupt Death Bolt, don't get more than 1. if you get something else, focus down the worm.
20: If the defiler gets a totem down, run away. Otherwise, it's a pretty easy kill. The deathspeaker will spawn a guardian if you don't pay attention. The defiler is more dangerous.
21: worm
22: Two defilers. In non bolstering weeks just focus one down, probably won't see a totem. If you do see a totem, just run away. Keep your ranged group far if that's an option.
23: This boss is easy if you know how to cheese it. He'll shockwave, so keep your tank faced away from the group. You can move out of shockwave if you want, I typically eat it. He puts a bunch of mushrooms around the circle. If these aren't removed prior to Festering Harvest, they explode, dealing a dot to everyone in the group. There are two options to destroying the mushrooms: run over them, when you get Upheaval on you, the upheaval damage will destroy the mushrooms. Typically my strat is to take 1 hunter, pop turtle, run around the circle and grab as many of them as I can. If that hunter gets upheaval, I move it to more mushrooms to take them out. If not, I try to get another character in position for the upheaval. If there are still a number up, I will bubble on my healer, and divine steed the mushrooms out. Any more than 4 or 5 mushrooms up will likely wipe you. You can also turtle/bubble the Festering Harvest. If you get a second Festering Harvest, bubbling/turtling the Festering Harvest on the first one will likely mean a wipe since you won't have any way to clear the shrooms. One other thing I just learned is that the Shockwave will destroy mushrooms as well. I might try to incorporate that, but honestly, my cheese strat works.
23: Faceless corruptor. I explain this well in the video. He has two abilities you need to watch for. Abyssal Reach is a cast. He'll surround your characters with tentacles. Move your characters out of tentacles before they kill you. Maddening Gaze is like a shockwave fear. If he faces your group, move them. Otherwise you're likely to pull more stuff. The fear lasts a long time and does tend to scatter your characters widely.
25 - 34: worm / defiler / worm / Faceles Corruptor / more worms / Faceless Corruptor / can't believe it's more worms
35: Two faceless corruptors. I don't care what the affixes are. I'm blowing one of them up. It's very easy for the cast timers on maddening gaze to get off and you have two fear shockwaves headed in separate directions. Not good. Hard to tell where they're going, even harder to tell where you need to move to. If you get feared managing the Abyssal reach can become harder. Overall this isn't really a wipeable pull. At this point there will be no other mobs in range in the event you do get feared ,but you can lose some time here if you're not paying attention.
36: Last boss is rather simple. keep everyone stacked up, focus boss, kill the visages when they spawn if you want, the NPC will help you otherwise. Fill boss' rage 3 times, you win the fight. Sometimes I have lust up for this boss, other times I don't.

Thanks! great guide and love the mythic addon! I did mythic+2 on my prot pals today..was my first time in this dungon. it was very easy. My pals are 463-465 gear..all from conquest rewards ( every piece on them ). ill brave higher keys eventually. Im farming the easiest mythics for tidal cores atm.( both +0 and +2 ect when i have the keys ). Making 32 slot bags for all my teams!

Glad you found it useful! I probably won't do too many more of these before Shadowlands, but did notice this dungeon doesn't get much love. I'll maybe do a similar format for dungeons in Shadowlands once it becomes more appropriate.
The two hardest bosses by far are the second and third boss. If you can come up with a strategy for those, the rest of the instance is pretty easy.

I added my +2 run.. i forgot to hit record at the start..but its just a few trash packs in. I make a lot of mistakes.. but brute force is enough to win easy! There is no sound.. you can FF through boring trash stuff if you want. Next one I will edit..just need to re-educate myself on the "how to"

I'm over geared for most mythic +0s right now.i just basically killed everything with brute force..no real strategy. I move out of stuff sometimes..but most the time i just spam abilities and stuff dies super fast!
This dungeon really isn't that bad so long as you have an answer for Cragmaw. I was a minute away from doing this in +2....for some reason totally messed up the first boss. Cragmaw and Sporecaller could have been cleaner. The final boss is textbook.
Also I moved my toggle buttons to a new place just for Jabberie, this position is actually much worse.

zOk, do you use GSE or ISboxer for your dps roations?

Really smart play with Spirit Link on Cragmaw, never thought about doing that and just standing in it and potentially just let the boss run back to you.
The last boss too. Thank you for that. I never understood apparently what I was supposed to be doing on that fight! Very clean.

I recently switched to using ISBOXER macros and the pro system. I saw a 10-20% dps increase, overall. I also recently swapped to focus macros for targeted healing. The green click bar displays which character is currently being focused, the orange one shows which characters will cast interrupt and stun.

I've found you can ignore ticks after he tantrums so long as you have enough dps. You can keep your tank alive for probably 10-20 seconds before you get overwhelmed. I had plenty of time on this kill, I think I could do this on a +10 on a fortified week and the route is a little easier since you skip all the trash from the top to the first boss with Awakened.
The last boss is a supreme joke, but if you don't know what's going on it can be difficult.

Ain't that the truth... I avoided this place like the plague for a good year and only then bothered to look up how the last boss works and turns out it's one of the easiest ones. Lessons were learned about actually knowing the mechanics though. :D

Oh man I feel personally attacked now. Failed my +10 run yesterday. Actually messed up sporecaller of all bosses. The problem with sporecaller is that you use cooldowns to beat it and if you wipe and cooldowns get out of whack and you're not patient, it leads to a total tilt. Fairly clean run otherwise but man that trash right before the fear boss obelisk is ROUGH. You also don't need to use the obelisks to skip anything except the two pulls on the way to the first boss.
Nicely done, that last boss really is a joke. Btw the blood visage's come out whenever he reaches full energy. His energy fills up from taking damage. :)
