Hey Ebony, I am not really in the loop with what is going on. I just noticed Jamba was reverted to the old version and judging by the posts it seems someone pissed you off or something. I actually liked your new jamba update for BFA, and found it less buggy and more enjoyable. How can I get your update back? Is it under a new name? I saw something about "EMA". Thanks.

Where to post bugs then now? because since you reverted the versions, the automount option is missing :(

I dunno, maybe start with https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/jamba and post comments? If you're dead set on grabbing an older version to see if that has <feature X> or works better, click on the EARLIER VERSIONS tab on that page.

This. 7.3.5-5.4.1 has some issues but a couple of us on here dealt with them pretty easily. Basically needed to remove some old calls in healthstone usage, taxi and glyph events. Mine had a nasty bug with advanced looting that caused one window to disconnect randomly when looting mobs. turned out all 5 were buggering the server trying to loot simultanously. I changed their loot command to round robin and put a C_Timer in. Ex: C_Timer.After(1, function() LootSlot(slot) end)
That fixed the adv loot disconnect.

Sorry to see you go. I don't know who is hating on you but I will say, there are thousands of multiboxers out there using Jamba every day who never say anything, many of which don't even know about forums or how to contact you. I myself don't really post or anything. But we love, appreciate, and rely on your work and most of us enjoyed your update. I love it so much I had to use a windows backup just to get it back... It was really well done and I know a lot of us are hoping you continue. Don't worry about vocal minorities, you can never satisfy them.
I've never looked into WoW addons or what is involved but I am a programmer and in my experience with programming the customer is never right. Just go in your own direction. Good luck to you and I hope you return! Really enjoy your work. Thanks for all the time you spent on it while you did.

Bug reports can be entered, where they should have always been entered, through Curseforge Issue tracking.

Let me see if i understood this correctly:
First we had jamba.
Then jamba was changed to EMA.
But, now jamba is back again, but at the same time also EMA?
Since isboxer already have incorporated features with jamba, should we stick to jamba once again?
Or do we just gamble and use any of them? (assuming you dont need or use those jamba spesifik features within isboxer).
Any "official" info available?
(the stickied post on EMA got closed today).

Ema is a fork (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fork_(software_development)) of Jamba.
I will attempt to tidy up Jamba in it's current state but there are few plans to add any features that may have present recently or new.
Curseforge (https://wow.curseforge.com/projects/jamba) has great issue tracking (https://wow.curseforge.com/projects/jamba/issues) and if you have a problem with Jamba, please fill out the form.
Lax has started a new project for a community driven World of Warcraft addon. This is currently being brainstormed on the ISboxer Discord (https://discord.gg/yTRVTk3). I'm sure more details will start to be announced as they go forward.

It looks like there is now an EMA on curse if you havent found it yet. Just search "ebony" and ebonys multiboxing assistant should pop up. Just found it and looks like its what we were looking for. Yay
Thanks again Ebony! Awesome job.

This is on my EMA topic but ill leave it here as well
Q: Why Did you quit jamba it was great
A: Jamba has been Great for the last few years but most of the code was written for WOTLK 3.0.3 it was not coded by me then and Jafula Made most of the code, Its getting very very very outdated and am fed of of hacking into something i know can be done better.
Remember how bad blizzard's own code is! They can change a SKY box somewhere and lose a summon stone at dead mines If you think this is easy to work though then you can be wrong i can get very very stressed looking though 17 addons! Yes that right Jamba was classed as 17 Addons i could change something in one addon and break it somewhere else that has nothing to do with it! Even TSM has axed the Module system for there "own" what they class as there own Code!
As well You prob seen by now all the users that wonted old jamba back How bad It was/is to update to BFA and this is without the really bad error i found (i guess it was the skybox at blizzards end) or though saying that WoWapi is very funny and they started a phasing system that where they keep the code around a bit but it does not work on ptr/beta for a few builds the poof sometimes they just go all out and remove it off the bat! its really "fun"
When beta hit us i made the choice of just working on EMA and letting Jamba and me go our own ways, much of the beta feedback was to keep it jamba so it could work with isboxer and commands lines etc stayed the same i went back and foreword for months on this So i moved on from EMA and when With "Jamba" but using my new EMA code EMA i started working on in wod it was not something i put togaver in 5 mins and spend many many long nights on it. and am still nowhere ner at the point i would like to be at. but like they say time i money friend! And or though i work part time sometimes i just find it to hard to get out of bed. All i can say is i wish i stayed with EMA because in turn that all that happened now anyway. anyway this story could go on forever! Maybe i should write a book.........
