Action bars become non interactive after an hour of game play.

After about an hour of playing i noticed that 2 or 3 of my characters arent attacking or using the loot a rang. Basically everything that is on the action bars is inaccessible, i cant click the hot key, i cant click on the action bar, i cant use the spell from the spell book. Only the follow and assist commands work. Exporting from isboxer tool kit or re launching the team from inner space does nothing to fix the problem. the only way to "fix" it, is to log out to the character select and then log back in. then they all attack for about 1 or 2 hours and then random slots lose the ability to attack using any method.

i dont have any action bar overlays, i have the stock blizzard interface, i only use Isboxer, Zygor, Dugi questing essentials, and Recount. I have tried uninstalling everything but the Isboxer. still the same problem. I deleted the WTF, Cache, and Interface folders, I did a scan and repair in the battle net launcher, i re installed wow and isboxer. im not able to even click on the hearth stones in the main back pack, or click on the mounts in the mount menu, when this problem occurs so the toons are just basically on follow.

This happens randomly to one or two of my characters aswell, around 2 hours intervalls between each time. This only happen when i "afk farm". Nothing works, can run around and jump, but nothing else. Have to relog the toon. I thought it was some blizzard anti botting mechanic. Its not that bothersome luckily.

I have had this happen before as well but always just setting focus to the window fixes things, I do not have to log out.

Its always during certain situations where I am spamming everything. I am thinking like Wowbox40 just an antibot thing from blizzard, if it is then slowing down how often you spam your dps button or how many keystrokes are sent to each window every time would fix it.

As a side note, Recount uses a lot of resources and you might try Skada or similar. This is really old but:

appreciate the input, what you say makes since to me. especially with how ive set the characters up. i have pro config buttons that have 5 or 6 steps and send a single key per step, to in game cast sequence macros/trinkets/racial abilities. very spammy.

No it doesnt do anything. Have to log out and in again.

i have this exact same issue every night at least 4-5 times and it drives me absolutely crazy :\ i have found no other way to fix it other than logging out and back in as well

When does that happen ? Are you standing still and afk farming mobs or doing other stuff like world quests etc ? If you are afk farming even tho you’re pressing the buttons killing mobs etc your characters will go AFK status after I think 15 or 30 min, and then you can get issue you are describing. What worked for me in the past was simply just jump with all the toons every 5-10 min to avoid that.

hmm yea i am doing a stand still farm, i'll try jumping to keep them active

I have them all jump one time around every xx keypress, its in my re-keymap. That doesnt prevent the hotbars from locking up. Though they never go afk and jumping sometime fixes the looting (it can hang up sometimes). All my toons are only using instant spells to attack mobs. Its only 1 or max 2 of all my toons that gets affected.

Used same method for months. Getting the odd action bar lock started to happen very recently. And oddly enough only on a couple toons at most, when it does.

I first noticed the issue when allied races became available. I made a group of nightborne x5 not long after that patch that made them available. That team had the issue constantly while leveling via questing. they werent standing still afk farming, they were running around doing quests. It happened in every zone. I noticed it again recently when i made a group of monks, they made it all the way to 108 before it happened to them, it happened one time, the day i posted this and it hasnt happened since then. they are unable to use spells through any method. you cant press the actual hot key, you cant click on the ability on the action bar, you cant click on the ability in the spell book, you cannot use mounts either on the action bar or in the mount menu, you cant use hearth stones on the action bar or in the bag. the only thing you can do is log out and log back in other wise they will only follow, assist, and interact with target, nothing else.

shift+ctrl+alt+g and reload isboxer settings, does anything?
I've managed to lock out my main a few times, while slaves receive the mapped keys.
Usually happens when I am frantically swapping windows trying to save a wipe.
Above fixes it for me.

I believe this is what happened to me as well. But it seems like this is a separate issue from what the others are experiencing. This could be isBoxer related problem but fixing by logging out to character select screen feels like WoW related.

unfortunately the isboxer reload also does not seem to fix the issue, must be a wow specific thing

I dont have time to play these days to test myself. Just randomly thought maybe if we change the button from broadcasting from all, to roundrobin.. it will be less spammy on a account by account basis. Or even insert delays before moving to the next step. Goodluck testing.

Haha../tinfoil hat on... maybe its one of blizzards methods to locate potensial botters. As every so slowly..one account after the other gets "locked" = they get notified when that happens. If said player doesnt log out and in "soon" after that, something could be fishy. I would like to play to the stage when 1 or 2 gets locked and then try to ignore it, and play for some more hours. Just to see what/if anything happens (do even more accounts get locked etc?) as ive never seen more that 2 get locked during my playsessions.

If all fails in the end, say f.ex that the accounts get locked pretty soon after, i had this plan of extending my keymapping a loooooooot and try time it so every 2 hours, all will press the macro "/camp" for 40 secs or so to try log out. I only use dot spells so any already aggroed mobs will die fast and no new mobs can aggro after that. Then after awhile of /camp, they will press "enter" one time to get back into the game. And rince repeat. Time will show.

Hey I have the same issue with my action bars being unresponsive but other aspects workin fine. After a closer look I realized it had something to do with the Loot-A-Rang when I recently started doing standstill farms. Basically what happens is that when one of my characters uses the loot-a-rang but there's no lootable corpse nearby and I use the item again afterwards no button on the action bar works anymore. What worked for me was jumping and everything was ok but at some of the farms I do there is downtime and I don't like having my characters jumping every few seconds even if I introduce it as a toggle in my 1 button farm script (I use HKN).

Does anyone now how to add a delay of 3-3.5 seconds to the loot-a-rang button? This is my current script I use to alternate between the /tar+kill macro and the loot-a-rang:

Interesting find. Though i have my characters usage of the loot a rang spaced out a bit: after 10 spellcasts toon 1 tries to loot, 10 more toon 2 tries to loot etc. This way there is less issues of one potensially getting stuck. Every mob that i kill drops something btw. Also, jumping doesnt fix my stuck actionbars. I have to log out and back in on the affected toon.

Ok so i farmed a lot today, the actionbars didnt hang up a single time. I didnt do anything new. Very odd indeed...but also nice. Update: a second farmday, no hangups this day either.

I had it happen again sunday. this time i was in a dungeon. i had been playing most of the day on and off with no issues. I decided to go into Zul'farrak for some transmog stuff and i had all the bosses killed except for the last boss, i noticed that there were still corpses on the ground. turns out slot 3 and 4 stopped attacking/looting sometime before the hydra boss. seems completely random, maybe something to do with loot a rang. cause i dont remember this issue until i started using the loot a rang to loot.

havent had any hotbars locked since 21 of april. Been farming like before, around 3 to 4 hours daily on average.

I did get a odd one last night: my internet didnt loose connection, but all of my games all of a sudden logged themself out, directly to the logon screen.

The only change i have done: im pressing the buttons more rarely. Instead of mashing them up to several times a second at short periodes, then having a longer break: i now press like every 2 ++ seconds. Its a relaxing pace that suits me. I get less loot, since i kill less mobs, but this is the only way my body is able to cope pressing the buttons reguarly to avoid fatique / pain.
