Title says it all, anybody running melee? Melee groups have always seemed to take a back seat to ranged classes.
If the level scaling is a thing, looking to work through some world quests and also do some dungeons.
What are people running? How is monk punch healing?

there is no fistweaving anymore I though, could be wrong. I used a paladin to heal while leveling. Didn't like it. Turned the shaman healing instead.
Melee Team > monk, shaman, rogue, 2*paladin

WW Monks are top tier at the moment. Great AoE, Great ST, Insane Burst, Short Cooldowns, Minor Self Healing (Through talents/Artifact Abilities), Fairly easy to macro a rotation for. I can't speak to how they would fair as an all monk team in M+ but for world quests and dungeons through lower M+ they will perform very, very well. Even at low gear levels their burst is impressive and they are the most mobile melee dps class by a long shot.
I personally love my Frost DK team but I also play Frost as my main so I am biased. Also easy to macro.
Fury Warrs also have good AoE and High burst with short CDs. Fairly easy to macro. Ret Paladins are also very good, have high survivability cooldowns like Lay on Hands and are easy to macro as well.
I don't have much experience with Rogues/Enh Shamans/Arms Warr

From reading it, I'd have assumed it was a trinity team he was going for or at least one with a healer. If not, just go prot pally or bdk 5 box and be able to do everything.

All-Tank teams have been useful for doing more difficult content, so... DKs or Paladins would be my choice, and Paladins can even queue into dungeons since they fill all the required roles, but that doesn't matter for mythic dungeons.

Hah at the fist weaving, shows how out of date I am.
I was thinking of a trinity comp because I assumed that they would fare best in actually running non out leveled content. When this expac launched, I ran 5 prot paladins up to max level and enjoyed the spec and build, but I wasnt super successful in dungeons running that comp.
Not sure if things would have changed significantly since then.
From a world quest perspective I think 5 feral druids would be interesting, but dont know how much theyre still relying on the stealth / backstab mechanic.
Will do some more reading, thanks for the suggestions all.

Perhaps the post that CMKCot wrote the other day (https://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/54352-How-fun-is-Multiboxing-in-WoW?p=413705&viewfull=1#post413705) detailing the state of end-game in Legion, at this time, could help.

I've ran both 5x blood DK and a trinity melee team consisting of a Prot pally, MW monk and 3 frost DKS (or 2 frost DKs and 1 enhancement shaman at times) and found relative success with both.
All tanks is definitely the easy way to go until about M+ 8-ish since they can ignore a lot of mechanics and still have adequate DPS to down bosses. On trash pulls they are vastly superior due to the added stability and not being all that far behind on AOE DPS. The trinity teams shine in burning bosses down faster but require more attention to avoiding bad stuff or you will just get blown up.
For questing both would do fine. I did however find it annoying to quest as all unholy DKs since you really lack self/off heals, meaning you either constantly need to eat food or have the foof buff that heals you while out of combat up at all times, which became a pain when you randomly lose a toon here and there.

Im running 5 monks, 4 brewmasters and 1 mistweaver (fistweaver), and can solo just about anything...even most of the world bosses.
there is no fistweaving anymore I though, could be wrong.
Fistweaving is around :)

Ive always liked playing different classes. Might save the 5x pally thing for a bit later. Starting with prot pally, enh shaman, dps warrior (not sure which), feral druid, healer monk.
Lets see how this goes!

For world quests, I can't say enough good things about 5x Prot Paladins. Mine are at about 845ish iLevel, and the only thing I can't do are world bosses and dungeons with the latter largely being that I dislike a lot of the dungeon mechanics for post-WotLK content.
I've been leveling blood DKs and they seem pretty good up through ~105ish.
My Demon Hunter tank group were also very good up through ~102.
None of them kill quickly on harder elites but they're very forgiving of mistakes.

Figured some boxer could do some high M+ with prot specs since some can be solo'd (+22). I have seen 5 prot paladins doing +20s, not boxing, he streams it though.

OT for this sub-forum, but is there an updated PRO SYSTEM guide laying around for isboxer 42? Trying to follow your videos now Mirai but things are... different. I will try to muscle through, but yeah.
