Hey guys,

I have been trying to make Starfall work on my druid without self and mouseover. I don't like the mouse mimic thing as my two windows are not identical in size. Also, running into a pack when you want to cast SF is as much of a DPS loss as it would be a gain.

Are there any ways to cast Starfall on my currently selected target? I wouldn't mind friendly or not as I'd cast it on a tank that way.

Thanks for Your answers!

Short answer: No.

The only modifiers available for ground targetted AOE spells are @player and @mouse, so you'll have to work with those.

That is what chased me away from my 10 druid team. Tanks yay, feral yay, but boomkin no.

You could add an additional modifier to the macro, and just leave starfall out of your rotation unless you have the time to micromanage.
Something like:
/ cast [@cursor, mod: Shift] [@player, mod: Alt] Starfall; OtherSpellName

On my hunters I like the cursor method for my traps and flares. It helps spread things out so they are not all casting flares and traps in the same spot when the cursors are not lined up. I use all same screen resolutions though, and that probably makes it easier.
